“They” didn’t leak Trump’s tax returns. An IRS contractor did - along with thousands of other tax returns - during Trump’s first term.

Biden’s DOJ prosecuted the contractor, who got the max: 5 years in prison.

The recent Anders Puck Nilsen vid on YouTube is fascinating regarding what Rubio says about NATO. Although what he said annoyed NATO allies, Nilsen thinks that when viewed in the context of being watched by Trump on tv news, they're actually much more balanced. Rubio can't contradict the orange blob but he can talk about what would be lost by pulling out of NATO and how the president would have to think about it.

Instead of saying "were going to have to think about leaving" he suggests Rubio's message was "we're going to have to think about leaving".

I'm not optimistic that anything can be done about what Trump thinks. I mean, credit where it's due for recognising the problem, but I think the impairment is incurable.

Cuba has not posed a threat to the US since the collapse of the Soviet Union; only reason Cuba was a real concern was it was a satellite of the USSR just a few miles from the US.
Only thing Cuba threatens is it's own people, with the current regime;s complete incompetence when it comes to economics (They seem not to have gotten the word that a soviet style command economy just does not work).
I have been in favor of the US lifting the embargo simply because it would remove their big excuse for Cuba's economic woes .
A war with Cuba would be an even bigger disaster then a war with iran, since there is no hope of forcing a regime change through air strikes, but it would need a full scale invasion of CUba, and that would turn into a bloody nightmaer. Many Cubans who despise the current regime depise Yanqui bullying even more.
Sad thing is trump is building support for a number of regimes that really don't deserve any. Too many people..including some here who should really know better. are going the Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend rout.

He's like a malicious Forrest Gump (I think Sam Harris once compared him to a malicious Chauncey Gardner). He just blunders from situation to situation, not understanding anything around him and caring only about his most immediate wants and needs --money, praise and adoration, inflicting cruelty, and sexual satisfaction. He doesn't understand any of the developments that come his way, nor does he want or care to.
