Frontier isn't exactly in great shape either.

Enilria says that ā€œAnalysts Think More Chapter 11s Comingā€ to airlines and then estimates the risk for several ā€˜by 2027ā€™ at:

  • JetBlue: greater than 75%
  • Frontier: 45% ā€“ 50%
  • Allegiant: 36.7%
  • American: 2.9% ā€“ 15%
  • Alaska: Less than 3%
I think these percentages are overly scientistic, especially since they donā€™t quite appear to be representing real market probabilities implied from bond yeilds with true spread-implied number and whether a distressed exchange is actual default. Still, as a ranking exercise I think weā€™re looking at something reasonable for JetBlue and Frontier, and a suggestion that American and Alaska probably are not looking at anything of this sort.

Indeed. I'm not sorry, though. "Adequately explained" is key to that. The actions of Trump and co are NOT adequately explained by stupidity, after all. Stupidity and malice combined can adequately explain them, yes. Malice alone could potentially explain them, for that matter. Stupidity without malice? No.

Dogs are truly loyal, loving, kind, smart, always happy to see you, and love you the way you are, without wanting anything in return, except your love. So Trump doesn't understand dogs, and got Melania instead.
