Trump's Second Term

Donald is pulling troops out of Germany

The US Defence Department plans to withdraw 5,000 troops from Germany, amid a spat between President Donald Trump and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz over the war with Iran.

The decision comes a day after Trump criticised Merz, who suggested the US had been "humiliated" by Iranian negotiators.

In social media posts on Thursday, Trump said Merz was "doing a terrible job" and had "problems of all kinds", including on immigration and energy. Trump has also suggested pulling US troops from Italy and Spain.

Back after WW2 France and Britain began to pull troops out of overseas bases. It is the end of Empire.

As a bit of another snapshot on an ongoing issue -

Trump flouts lower court rulings in unprecedented display of executive power

Really short version? The Trump Administration is refusing to comply with court rulings around 1/8 of the time. We already knew that their version of "Law and Order" was little more than a racist dogwhistle, but this does continue to confirm how little respect they actually have for Law and Order.
The whole thing about Magna Carta, the US constitution is that the executive, King or President, can only act within the law. Once they act beyond the law, they cease to have the divine right to rule and become a normal person subject to the law. One of our Kings decided that they weren't bound by the 'constitution'; it didn't end well.

We'll pull our troops back because you are not being sycophantic yes men cheering on this illegal war I started without any consultation.

Oh and that war seems to be going so well we need to use those bases to keep winning for the next decade or so.

Even though prior to the Argentinian invasion most of us wouldn't have been able to find the Falklands on a map!

True, but I think it's fair to say that had the islands been uninhabited there would have been less support for the war, and when a couple of thousand fellow citizens are taken hostage by an unfriendly power it does seem appropriate to take strong action. I was too young to have my opinion considered but in retrospect I'm second hand proud that we, as a country, did what we did for that population (possibly also for antarctic mineral rights too, but moving on).

Although, in fairness, the notoriously low doorways of the period ceased to be a problem for him.

I was involved in the recapture.

My dad was Chief Engineer on the survey ship that found the oil in the Falklands territorial waters. That was probably part of the reason Argentina decided to invade.

I'm Portsmouth born and bred, we cheered the fleet out and we cheered it back. I have nothing but respect for the Navy.

Trump says he was pushed to get a dog when he was elected but rejected the idea.

“It’s not going to work for me… Every president's had a dog because they do it for votes. Some of them do it because they love the dog, probably most of would do it for votes… I thought it would look quite fake”

Frankly, Donny, for you the same can be said for getting some conscience, a sense of honesty, and dose of humility...and a working brain.

Whereas in England the Downing Street cat gets a new Prime Minister. Having the advantage of years at the top of politics Larry can be quite insightful.
History of the USA:-
King of England imposes taxes-
America declares independence-
Things go well for nearly 250 years-
America elects a moron- Moron imposes taxes-
King of England gets taxes removed
"I'd have had so many more medals than that if it wasn't for these damn bone spurs"

🚨 THANK A DEMOCRAT 🚨

JOE BIDEN AND PETE BUTTIGIEG bragged about blocking the JetBlue–Spirit merger… The very deal that could have SAVED Spirit Airlines

THE RESULT:

❌ LESS COMPETITION
❌ CUSTOMERS SCRAMBLING
❌ EMPLOYEES LOSING JOBS
