On May 2, 2019, Moore withdrew his name from consideration [for Fed], saying "The unrelenting attacks on my character have become untenable for me and my family and 3 more months of this would be too hard on us." Following his withdrawal, Moore penned an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal where he decried his critics, writing, "What did me in was not my economic ideas but gutter campaign tactics and personal assaults."

New colour scheme for Air Force One.

The US presidential jet is getting a new paint design that will include one of President Donald Trump's preferred colour choices for the White House and his hotels, gold.

Air Force One and other planes used by high level US officials, including First Lady Melania Trump, are being repainted gold, deep red and navy blue as they undergo scheduled repairs and maintenance, according to the US Air Force.

The colours will also feature on a new luxury 747-8i Boeing plane donated to the presidential fleet by Qatar, an Air Force spokesperson told CBS.

I remember in Trump's first term, he demanded a color change from the light blue and white of the current Air Force One to darker shades.

The problem is, the darker colors would absorb sunlight and potentially cause overheating of some of the electronics. (This in turn would likely have required additional engineering and testing, potentially leading to delays.) So Trump's paint scheme was scrapped.

I wonder if the same issues will occur with his "new" color scheme.
