I hope their companies will pay for security for every individual on that list, Trump has pointed to his most 'Turbulent' reporters.

Now I'm trying to imagine what their lawyers could have said to convince them it was a liability. It surely can't just be because it made Trump look like a thin-skinned, vengeful, narcissistic, spiteful prick who can't bear to be questioned. Surely.

The Democratic party is quite strong at state level in blue states. In red states the opponenst of MAGA tend to run as independents. There is some grudge in working classes still, my state included, for "democrats allowing jobs to go abroad." The Republicans were not going to stop it, and democrats always support free trade. There seems to be some residual belief that "tariffs will bring jobs back." Not sure what democrats can offer as relief in 2026 other than fix healthcare. And the working class voter, no college, still can't identify with candidates who are typically lawyers.

Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday that seeks to halt any laws limiting artificial intelligence and block states from regulating the rapidly emerging technology. The order also creates a federal taskforce that will have the “sole responsibility” of challenging states’ AI laws.

At a signing ceremony, the president touted AI companies’ enthusiasm for wanting to “invest” in the United States and said that “if they had to get 50 different approvals from 50 different states, you could forget it”.
