As a Big TIme Civil War buff, I had the same thought.
Hell I own a replica of a CSA Manual....Hardee's Tactics to be exact. Great original source for how the army actually fought.

We have to agree to disagree. I think making it a replay of the first Civil War was mistake. It will be more like the Spanish Civil War.
And, as sheer filmaking I did not think it was very good.

Constiution would be hard to change. You need two thirds of each house of Congress. then rarify it by two thirds of the state legislature.
And it would take years.
If Trump does try to stay in office beyound 2028, I think it would be more likely he will declare matrial law and then try to stop the election.

And i think it would be harder because of the federal system of government, where states have soverign power and are not just adminsitrave districts for the central govenment.
And although this is a can of worms I don't want to open you have the Second Admendment.

He is positioning them as such, yes. Republican Party propaganda thrives on portraying Republicans as the victims and using that to defend and justify their actions to victimize others. To be fair, though, a lot of the feelings of victimization of the rank and file of the Republican Party are reasonably well founded - corrupt politicians, primarily those same Republicans, have paved the way for them to be victimized and exploited. It's just that they're letting themselves be tricked into blaming others for the consequences of their actions. Taking responsibility is uncomfortable, after all.

It's not being a dissident that's bad. It's them being victims that's bad. To give an easy example, many of these people are the ones that have been fed positive fantasies about the Confederacy and rebels. They're the ones that have lapped up all that far right perversion of the 2nd Amendment BS en masse.

But given the fact that China has diverted and they're buying a lot of soybeans from Argentina or Brazil or whatnot we do have a problem. This is an immediate crisis that needs to be addressed. And just like president trump did in 2017, he promised when he started this trade effort that he would be there, have the backs of American farmers. And quite frankly, the soybean farmers and all farmers need it
