Trump's Second Term

Donald J Trump Space Command Center

Tuberville: "We look forward to having the Donald J Trump Space Command Center in Huntsville, Alabama"

Does Tuberville understand that this is the Space Command headquarters and not the Space Force headquarters? Because AFAIK the military combatant commands are not in "centers" that are named in honor of someone (otherwise, the Telly K Neasuss Special Operations Command Center would be a pretty cool name IMHO).

trump is really getting crazy, dangerously so. Just today, he had US military target a boat, killing everyone on it, and revealed troops are preparing to deploy to the streets of Chicago. Again, as a lifelong citizen of the United States, all I can say is-

H-E-L-P!!! P-L-E-A-S-E!!!!

Too late.

I read that the boat was a drug cartel.
More specifically, the Trump Administration *claimed* something along those lines.

Unfortunately for everyone, the Trump Administration has been repeatedly caught lying when they've made similar claims. They've destroyed their own credibility and weakened the US' credibility as a whole, before even touching on all the rest of the irregularities at hand. It is plausible that they may not be lying about everything, this time, but why should anyone who isn't a willfully gullible fool trust their empty assertions? Especially when Trump's history of needing to be repeatedly dissuaded from invading Venezuela during his first term is added to the picture and that the actual adults are largely gone from his Administration this time around.

The US doesn't just get to blow up a boat that poses no threat, especially when its vessels are not in US territory.
Just boarding the boat would have been illegal under international law, sinking it is just murder.
Just because it might have contained drugs doesn't mean the Navy becames Judge Jury and Executioner, especially not outside US jurisdiction.

It's amazing that the goalposts have shifted where we discuss that military execution of civilians outside an armed conflict might be okay "because drugs".

Come on, US has been killing people all over the world for some time. During Biden, during Obama. It's not like Trump gave go-nogo on this specific boat. Lots of intel usually goes into hits like this, I doubt it changed.
