Trump's Second Term

Dump bans entry to the US from 12 countries.
Yes he did. Specifically:

Afghanistan, Myanmarm, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen

See: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx271g270v7o

In an ideal world, FIFA would look at removing the World Cup from the US, considering it is a high-visibility international tournament and one of the countries (Iran) has a team that qualified for the tournament.

Trump administration revokes guidance requiring hospitals to provide emergency abortions

AP News said:
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration announced on Tuesday that it would revoke guidance to the nation’s hospitals that directed them to provide emergency abortions for women when they are necessary to stabilize their medical condition.

That guidance was issued to hospitals in 2022, weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court upended national abortion rights in the U.S. It was an effort by the Biden administration to preserve abortion access for extreme cases in which women were experiencing medical emergencies and needed an abortion to prevent organ loss or severe hemorrhaging, among other serious complications.

Women, the US government is trying to kill you. You know what to do!

It has been speculated for years Trump has a reading disability. Of all his faults, this is one I do not hold against him. So if it requires an alternate approach to make him aware of the state of the world, they should do it.
I would hold it against him. Not necessarily for having the reading disability, but not being open/upfront about it.

As a leader, being able to read can be considered an advantage in running the country. It should be up to the voters to decide whether the other benefits of a particular politician outweigh the down side of not being able to read.

That presumably also applies to flat earthers in geography, Lysenko supporters in genetics, vaccine deniers and naturopaths in medicine, and Nazis in political science. It will, of course, be necessary for the public weal to make an exception to the rule if a potential hire is suspected of being woke.
The thing is Takano gave McMahon such an easy out, and she didn't take it. That's very suspicious as to her real political ideology.

And creationists- once you've decided that Holocaust Denialism is valid to teach as history under the guise of "diversity of viewpoints," then you've opened the door to teaching creation "science" as an equal to evolutionary theory, and achieved a goal of Christian nationalists, who have been trying for many years and by any means to get religion into schools.
I thought that the lack of action against antisemitism was one of the main reasons universities like Columbia and Harvard were under attack. Is Ms McMahon ignorant of the few common points between holocaust denialism and antisemitism  ?

During his first term the suggestion was that Trump's problem in briefings was not the format in which the information was presented but his capacity to absorb the information no matter which way it was explained. He needed everything dumbed right down or he lost the thread of what was being said.

TAKANO: Does refusing to hire a Holocaust denier as a member of Harvard's history department count as an ideological litmus test?

McMAHON: I believe there should be diversity of viewpoints relative to teachings and opinions on campuses

I'd have thought the obvious next question would be :"so if they hired someone who spoke out for a Palestinian state or for Marxism that would also be okay and if not why not?"

The likes of McMahon are temporary allies of Israel because it thinks it furthers their goal to bring on armageddon and for Jesus to order them to massacre all the jews.

well if you want to know the kind of people the mcmahon’s are you can look into what a complete scumbag vince is in all aspects of his life, from business to personal. if linda has no problem being married to an absolute monster she won’t have a problem working for one.

Right wingers working to adopt and pervert reasonable concepts is nothing new. One easy example of many is tolerance. We're intolerant for not tolerating efforts to destroy tolerance. Free Speech? How dare we seek to restrict lies and fraud? Certainly, individual Republicans can hold to real principles, but as a group, there's ample cause to treat any talk of good principles as nothing more than an effort to pervert and destroy those principles. Voting for Trump is pretty much proof that Trump voters didn't actually care about those good things that they pretended to care about, either way, very much including anti-semitism.

And he needed constant portrayals of himself in a good light to maintain interest.
