Trump's Second Term

JD says that science has a crisis because Universities are racist, with radical left professors and massive bureaucracies that inhibit commercial adoption of their research. They need to work with Donald to correct their problems.

@JDVance
There is an extraordinary "reproducibility crisis" in the sciences, particularly in biology, where most published papers fail to replicate.

Most universities have massive bureaucracies that inhibit the translation of basic research into commercial adoption.

The voting patterns of university professors are so one-sided that they look like the election results of North Korea.

And on top of all of this, many universities explicitly engage in racial discrimination (mostly against whites and asians) that violates the civil rights laws of this country.

Our universities could see the policies of the Trump administration as a necessary corrective to these problems, change their policies, and work with the administration to reform.

Or, they could yell "fascism" at basic democratic accountability and drift further into irrelevance.

Trump in decline. But, he was pretty stupid all along. Fails to undertand balance of trade.
The magazine asked the president about border security, and he said this about the border wall: “I built hundreds of miles of wall, and then (Biden) didn't want to, and we had another, an extra hundred miles that I could have put up because I ordered it as extra. I completed the wall, what I was doing, but we have, I wanted to build additional because it was working so well.”

Forgetful Trump doesn't seem to know what's going on around him
Asked about the 9-0 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that said the Trump administration needs to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the wrongfully deported Maryland man, home from a Salvadoran prison, Trump said: “Well, that’s not what my people told me – they didn’t say it was, they said it was – the nine to nothing was something entirely different.”

During an April 30 interview with NewsNation, Trump was asked by Stephen A. Smith about his war against Harvard University. The president proceeded to describe imaginary riots in Harlem:

“Well, I say this. We had riots in Harlem, in Harlem, and frankly if you look at what’s gone on – and people from Harlem went up and they protested, Stephen, and they protested very strongly against Harvard. They happened to be on my side.”
Trump: "If this were Biden, well, first of all, he wouldn't do an interview because he was grossly incompetent.”

Time: “We spoke to him last year, Mr. President.”

Trump: “Huh?”

Time: “We spoke to him a year ago.”

Trump: “How did he do?”

Sigh. There is practically no evidence Barron even applied to Harvard, let alone was rejected.

I dislike it when a site that's supposed to be dedicated to skeptical thinking approves of nonsense without fact-checking it first. That goes for Andy Ross, who posted it, and the five who liked it.
Fair enough. Suitably chastised. It was perhaps a little too good to be true.

Jong-Fast: This would be the largest cut to food assistance in US history—and it will result in hungry kids. It’s also important to mention that this bill grows the deficit. I don’t know how it manages to do the two things you absolutely don’t want—starve children and grow the deficit—but it does.
What are you a commie? It is hardly Trump's fault that these kids failed to be born into wealth!

Just a few idiotic things Trump said to West Point cadets yesterday…“"No one wanted to join the military under Biden". - Donald Trump, addressing the West Point graduating class, all of whom began their training during the Biden administration.”
You can't expect him to figure that out, he hasn't had his remedial maths classes.

TAPPER: I really have a difficult time imagining that if this was a Democratic president holding a dinner for top investors in his private cryptocurrency, you wouldn't be outraged

MIKE JOHNSON: Look, I don't know anything about the dinner. I was a little busy this past week, so I'm not going to comment on something I haven't even heard about

TAPPER: You oversaw an investigation into Biden's ties to his son Hunter's questionable business dealings. You seemed to think it was your responsibility to look into this sort of thing then.

MIKE JOHNSON: Important distinction -- the Biden crime family earned that title ... President Trump does everything out in the open.

So stab someone behind closed doors, that's a crime. Do it on the street and that wouldn't be a crime?
