That was my first thought, too. Along with how pathetic it is that they want to portray him as a muscular action hero when he's a big blob of orange lard that can barely raise a mug to his lips, much less walk.

The only place where anyone has actually seen that "gasoline is down in many cases, in many states below $2 a gallon. $1.98, $1.99, $1.97" is Trump saying it is. Trump, though, knows full well that, with a lot of people, that's enough for them.; and that there's enough of them to be enough for him to keep getting away with saying it. It's like the "Haitians eating the cats and dogs" thing- even an easily-disproven lie will continue to fly as long as there are enough people who prefer the lie and politicians who are willing to supply them with what they want to believe rather than what they need to know.

Indeed it might even work in his favour. If people believe him, and see that petrol is so much more expensive locally then they'll blame the retailers and local politicians and be prepared to put even more power on his hands so he can bring prices down
