"The one thing you can't hideAs I said before, Trump and Musk don't wind me up that much because they are clearly damaged and defective people.
Is when you're crippled inside."

The Economist reported, "There are enormous conflicts of interest here, notes Don Moynihan of the Ford School of Public Policy in Michigan. After all, Mr Musk’s companies have faced probes from almost every federal regulator the billionaire is now gutting. Yet Professor Moynihan goes on to say that grift does not explain doge. Even with Mr Trump filming a free Tesla advert on the White House lawn; the commerce secretary tipping its stock on live tv; and people who vandalise Teslas threatened with deportation to El Salvador, Tesla’s market value has slumped."
I've read that it's Thiel behind it, he's had some of his insane visions for the future and they involve building megastructures in Greenland. The dude is far crazier than Musk. Also can one ignore the possibility that this is a Trump/Putin scheme to get hold of Greenland's mineral resources to benefit their proxy corporate lackeys? I definitely think that this was something that was put into Trump's head by Putin and Musk.
There is a lot to be said about the culture of tech bros. And the weird* science fiction influences one can see in their thinking.I've read that it's Thiel behind it, he's had some of his insane visions for the future and they involve building megastructures in Greenland. It will be the bigliest, most powerful recession ever. Like nobody has ever seen before. People will be coming up to him and saying that, tears in their eyes.
By the time it finally closed its doors in 2014, Trump Plaza was the worst-performing casino in Atlantic City, taking in as much money from gamblers in eight and a half months as the Borgata casino did every two weeks. A year later, Trump announced his world-changing run for US president, often citing Atlantic City as proof of his business acumen...The Plaza’s end came at around 9am with a series of explosions. The building imploded and a huge cloud of dust consumed the beach and famed Atlantic City boardwalk. There were cheers from a viewing party of people who had paid $10 to watch from their cars. Marty Small, the city mayor who had described the abandoned building as "an eyesore," told the Associated Press: “I got chills. This is a historic moment. It was exciting.” The Guardian article link

Soon after Trump bought the Generals after the United States Football League's inaugural season, which was played in the spring of 1983, he started pushing his fellow owners to move the league's games to the fall and go head-to-head with the NFL. "If God wanted football in the spring," Trump once said, "he wouldn't have created baseball." After the league's third season, the owners agreed to move to a fall schedule in 1986. "I think it was a big mistake," said Dr. Ted Diethrich, one of the league's original owners. "When that decision was made, the course for this was charted, and it was going to be a wreck." That’s my prediction - and hope!I'm absolutely sure he's going to back out of the tariffs, with some lame excuse and twist that they caved because of him (even if they don't) so he doesn't have to do it. Then profit on the stock market bounce.
If you had the business acumen of Trump, you'd return it for what you paid, then immediately buy it again at the new higher price! That’s my prediction - and hope!
But the uncertainty is already affecting markets - it’s impossible for a business to make plans when the future changes moment to moment.
Personal anecdote: I bought a piece of electronic gear on a Monday for $465. Literally the next day I was pushed an ad from the same company for the same item for $719! The president of the company blamed tariffs, but who really knows?

I was a fan of the NFL and became a fan of both the USFL and the New Jersey Generals. I used to regularly watch their Spring season games. Doug Flutie and Hershel Walker. Then in 1986 they moved to the Fall. First Sunday I channel surfed between the NFL games and the USFL game. I immediately noticed, especially in the line play, the USFL teams looked second-rate compared to the NFL teams. On one play there was a penalty called on a lineman for blatant holding. He took his helmet off, slammed it to the ground and began bellowing at the ref. His big beer belly was hanging out. It was like watching a semi-pro game. I flipped back to the NFL game and never watched another play of a USFL game.I've known how stupid this guy is ever since the USFL debacle. Since then, half the American people have proven that they're just as stupid.
so if Temu went back in time to sell an NFL league?I was a fan of the NFL and became a fan of both the USFL and the New Jersey Generals. I used to regularly watch their Spring season games. There were a LOT of people who never watched another USFL game. The league folded at the end of the season.
