Trump's Second Term

What you didn't mention is the today's (Right track)-(Wrong track) value of -13.6 is actually a significant improvement over the last days of the Biden administration, where that number in individual polls was in the -27 to -54 range. Which means overall that while Americans currently think the government is pulling the country in the wrong direction, Trump's not doing as badly as Biden was.
Apples and oranges. Or Orange T###. The people responding to polls are a bit different. A large portion of people responding are those excited about the Trump year. Those that barely made it to vote are not interested in politics until November 2028.

"Ban degenerate art" has always been one of the main pet project of every dictatorship, from the first Chinese emperor to every single far-right/left movement.
A huge sign that bad, bad times are coming …
From here, it looks like the signs have long been overtaken by the reality.

Famously, Macchiavelli was an awful diplomat, being expelled from the city the one time he tried it, and never held the reins of power. It could be held that he knew ◊◊◊◊ all about how to rule.
Not to mention that "The Prince" is less a record of his best political thinking than a blatant attempt to curry favor with the then-ascendant Medici. It should be sub-titled "How To Kiss the Ring in Twenty-Six Chapters"

It's gonna be a great four years.

But how is this going to affect the price of eggs? Is Trump going to turn the Kennedy center into a giant chicken farm?

I think that question needs to be asked over and over. Trump admitted that he was elected in large part because "groceries were too expensive". So why is he wasting time becoming chair of the Kennedy center instead of, you know, fixing the problem people wanted him to fix?

A few of the MAGAchud have expressed dismay at some of Trump's actions. Keep reminding them that the guy they voted for isn't doing what they want/need.

... but he has some strong opinions, and he think he'll express them now.

El Presidente Donaldo says

USAID IS DRIVING THE RADICAL LEFT CRAZY, AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT BECAUSE THE WAY IN WHICH THE MONEY HAS BEEN SPENT, SO MUCH OF IT FRAUDULENTLY, IS TOTALLY UNEXPLAINABLE. THE CORRUPTION IS AT LEVELS RARELY SEEN BEFORE. CLOSE IT DOWN!

"... SO MUCH OF IT FRAUDULENTLY, IS TOTALLY UNEXPLAINABLE. THE CORRUPTION IS AT LEVELS RARELY SEEN BEFORE. CLOSE IT DOWN!"

Someone has just told him that, at a time when groceries are too expensive, USAID has been giving away US surplus food to starving brown foreigners in ◊◊◊◊ hole countries. Unbelievable corruption.

Actually, I found the advice in “The Prince” fairly good if you want to be an evil dictator. And that time in Italy was the worst.

More face-eating:

Trump-backing Latino evangelicals now feel 'devastated and abandoned' by him: report

President Donald Trump made big strides among Latino voters in the 2024 presidential election thanks in large part to the influence of evangelical Latino churches.

However, the Associated Press reports that many of these churches already feel "devastated and abandoned" by him after he signed an executive order authorizing Immigrations and Customers Enforcement to conduct immigration raids at schools and churches.

:v:

Although many Latino evangelicals believed that the Trump administration would only target people with criminal records for deportation, they've been surprised to learn that even some of their own pastors are now in the crosshairs.

Agustin Quiles, a spokesperson for the Florida Fellowship of Hispanic Councils and Evangelical Institutions, tells the AP that he's disturbed that the "messaging appears to be that anyone who is undocumented is a criminal" and he said that "we want to ask the president to reconsider because these actions are causing pain and trauma to so many families in and beyond our churches."

:big::dl::i:

You stupid, naive ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ morons. You were nothing but useful idiots for him, and now he has no further need of you! You are used snot rags to him! He has blown his nose with you and tossed you in the garbage!

Hispanic evangelicals are getting what they deserve, and they deserve everything they get! ◊◊◊◊ you all! Enjoy your face-eatings!
