Trump's Second Term

trumpsplaining is the new stupid Gulf of Understanding maga-weirdo stupid.

Fixed it back because "gulf of understanding" doesn't make any sense to me, but I'm more than happy to read an explanation.

The Gulf of inderstanding is the gap between MAGA world and the real world - but I expect Trump wants to rename that Gulf as well.

They can weather it. They're salivating over the carnage they will be able to pick through once everyone's crashed and burned.
Don't think so. Too many of their rich have their wealth tied up in debt secured off their shareholdings (a tax dodge). When it comes down to it, most billionaires are holding an illiquid position, and if the economy tanks we could very well see some high profile jumpers.

Nancy Mace on Fox News acknowledges "there's a potential risk" that Trump's policies will raise prices

It was just a dumb joke about the gap between reality and whatever Trump imagines, plus Trump's new hobby of renaming gulfs.

Jasmine Crockett Representative from Texas's 30th congressional district says

"The problem is that Americans thought it was okay to take a full fledged criminal and make him the President of the United States and then they want to act aghast when he does criminal things. Let me tell you, we have a thug in charge of the United States and if we don't wake up we may not have a United States.

Tariffs are usually linked to trade issues, there doesn't seem to be any concrete measure that Canada or Mexico could take that would actually address the issues, I mean unless anyone thinks Canada loves the illegal trade in Fentanyl.

If DOGE employees are Monday to Friday employees, 120 hours per week is 24 hours per day. If they are a seven day working week, that's just over 17 hours per day. And Muskrat has already said they will be paid paltry wages. If that's not slave labour by definition, I don't know what is.

Alternatively, he's a lying turd.

Guess which one I think it is! ;)
He's got some elite gamers in from China he's paying a fortune.

I think it's because they upset him

USAID officials wouldn't let DOGE in to their systems.

🚨 BREAKING: USAID Senior Officials put on Leave after Physically Trying to stop DOGE from accessing Agency Systems

Two USAID officials, John Voorhees and his deputy, were put on leave late Saturday night after refusing to allow DOGE members access to USAID systems. The DOGE members threatened to physically call the police after being refused entry. They were trying to access the security and personnel files.

Federal Officials are concerned that Trump is trying to fold USAID into the US State Department in an effort to cut Government corruption and bloat.

USAID employs approx. 10,000 people, excluding contractors, with 2/3 of them overseas. 60 USAID members were already put on leave last week after trying to circumvent President Trump’s executive order on stopping foreign aid.

Good god, hope those two officials get police protection. They'll probably be identified and doxed. Possibly by Elonia or Dump themselves.

Uhm, unfortunately we are past the waking up point. They had 8 years to wake up. Now it's to late. They (his voters, those who couldn't be bothered to vote and the SCOTUS) handed it to him. Now he has 4 years of unchecked powers, together with Mr. Galaxy Brain and other Billionaires.
Good luck with the waking-up thing. You might even consider to enjoy your quiet sleep for as long as you can still get it...

I thought there was a thing about a lot of drugs being cheaper in Canada and poor sick people in the US buying (illegally) canadian drugs e.g. insulin and importing them to the US undercutting US pharmacies.

PS Fentanyl is a great drug, I use it lots (not personally).

When asked about the tariff war between Canada and the United States after the prime minister of Canada has said he would consider cutting off electricity to America if Donald Trump continues to impose tariffs.

Karoline Leaveitt the White House press secretary has replied

"They want you to panic, but President Trump wants you to remember Jesus didn't have electricity either and he did just fine,"
And Jesus died at 33 years of age. That's their goal for everyone.

NBC News reported, "Just over twenty-four hours later, [Acting FBI director Brian] Driscoll sent a memo to the FBI workforce explaining that Emil Bove, the acting Deputy Attorney General and Trump's former defense lawyer, had ordered him to remove eight senior FBI executives. Driscoll also said he had been told to turn over the names of every FBI employee involved in investigating Jan. 6 rioters...Since it was the largest criminal investigation in U.S. history, thousands of FBI personnel were involved, as Driscoll acknowledged in his memo...Legal experts said that few, if any, of the firings carried out so far by the Trump administration have been legal under civil service laws because the employees were not afforded due process. The Trump White House argues, though, that the president has the absolute right to fire anyone he wishes in the executive branch." Is Patel out of the loop or what?
Patel who??
