The Pentagon has revoked the security detail and clearance for retired general Mark Milley, a former top US military commander who has been critical of President Donald Trump.

Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth directed the move as one of his first acts in office, asking officials to investigate Gen Milley's "conduct" and review his military grade.

Trump previously accused Gen Milley of treason for phone calls he held with his Chinese counterpart during the final weeks of his first Trump presidency.

Gen Milley reportedly used one of the calls to reassure China that the US would not launch a nuclear strike. On social media Trump described the calls as "an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH!".

Which was fired into the sun. Just ask Muskrat to add him to one of his rocket payloads. Then shove him out the door in the right direction while in orbit. Yep, it might take thousands of years for it to finally hit Sol. But by that time he will have been totally forgotten about.

I don't entirely agree. I think that while Trump enjoys all the attention that he gets by being POTUS, he still wants to be the wealthest person in the world,or at least someone who's in the conversation, and will eventually resent Musk. And I think that Musk, being a true fascist, really wants to be the most powerful person in the world (wtiness his attempts to get involved in political decision-making in the UK and Germany), so he will try to dominate Trump.

As an example of the "extremely complex things" that Trump apparently feels it takes "a great power of the brain" to figure out, he also offered this (from a Newsbusters transcript of the press briefing)-

They shouldn’t have been at the same height. You’re going with — in reverse directions or sideways directions — obviously you want to be at different heights. I see it all the time when I’m flying. You have planes going in the opposite — they’re always lower, we’re higher.

There’s never going to be a tragedy if you’re in a different elevation. For whatever reason, they were at the same elevation. … They should have been at a different height.
