Musk said that the USA will need to go into a recession/depression in order to be a better country. The Party is doing that now, they are trying to destroy the economy. The wealthy won't feel the pain, they never do.

No one knows what the hell they mean by that.
And you will still have the problem with huge budget cuts you always have:
I want the government to cut spending but not that spending".
Self Preservatation by GOP members of congress are going to temper the budget cutting mania.
Their problem is to find a way of doing it wihtout seeming to go against Dear Leader. But they will probably manage.

"Ceasing to exist" and "Unable to Properly Function" aren't the same thing. I think you're confusing what people are saying since most people I'm seeing are saying the Federal Government won't run at all. It'll still exist though, just not in any useful form.

Also, if you see someone giving someone the finger, you have to remember they could just be ward off the evil eye, or saying they want sexual intercourse.

I expect the media in the future to report people flipping each others off as 'the person made a gesture that was reminiscent of giving someone the finger, but of course we have no way to know what they really meant and they may hust have been inviting to sexual intercourse, warding off the evil eye, or clumsily trying to make another hand gesture'.
 
I think Musk's comments on how Germand need to "get over the Holocaust" at a Neo Nazi Party rally shows where he is coming from,
 
Musk's popularity in the US is dropping like a lead balloon, and sooner or later Trump, who liv the polls will notice.
