Trump's Second Term

I love how feverishly the Drumpf supporters are working to gaslight us that the Nazi salute wasn't a Nazi salute.

The arcons are desperately trying to post any photo of a Democrat with their arm extended as they scramble for whataboutisms. Things is all they have are still photos out of context while Musk did the hard salute on video twice.

Trump said "They are brics nation, Spain? Do you know what a brics nation is? You will figure it out."

As part of his rescinding all of Biden's EOs he rescinded the Executive Order to lower prescription drug costs for people in Medicare and Medicaid.

And then make his own to reinstate it (albeit at a higher price) so he can claim to have lowered prescription prices when he has in fact increased them.

The first Trump term and now the 2nd will push the US in a certain direction. Trump will not get too much credit from the historians. It will be noted that there was a shift. The voters are not happy and part of it is that the US Constitution is no longer working for us citizens the way it did in the 1900s, even through the Reagan years.

The result will be a US with a big army and some strength. But no longer keepin military bases all over the world and cruising air craft carriers. Those were around for the purpose of providing a base in a place where there was not a lot of US support. Middle East, Asia, Russian neighbors. Air craft carriers do not enter the Baltic as those are now all NATO countires. And they never did.

The other trend that we will see is that red states are on their own. The South will be poor. Even federal highway money will be less and less. The blue states will continue as they did. They produce a lot of income and will take care of their own. They will invent their own healthcare.

Healthcare will change. Traveling to a different state may require travel insuranc, in case you get sick. The states will become little coutries. Sharing only the millitary and the dollar. Federal spending will tighten and will run a lot like the EU. Some states will need to be bailed out from time to time. Catastrophies will need special laws for recovery, each one. Some kind of financial arrangements are made. Somehow the states will get independent economies. Don't ask how, I am not an economist.
(I expanded it a bit and put it in the blog

Translation: "Is Spain a BRICS nation? What on earth is a BRICS nation? I'll have to look it up after."
MAGAs on twitter explaining it by saying Spain get's most of it's imports fromChina.

Which is also a lie, Spain gets most of it's imports from other EU countries.

The blue states will refuse to bail out the red states. Why should they? It's their money, and it's their SCOTUS-protected state right to say what happens to it! Unless they might want to loan money directly at extortionate rates...

When Trump said that he approved of H-1B visas and thus was in favor of what Musk and Ramaswamy wanted, it was an obvious snub to the MAGA base and people like Steve Bannon and Laura Loomrer.
This appears to be Bannon's way of dealing with his cognitive dissonance: 'It's not Trump being paid by the broligarchs to implement the policies they desire. It's the broligarchs bowing down to Trump':
Steve Bannon says inauguration marks ‘official surrender’ of tech titans to Trump (TheGuardian, Jan 19, 2025)
I guess that's Bannon's way of surrendering to his new overlords in the broligarchy.

From the way he was joyfully capering and heiling yesterday, Musth seems to think he's acquired the USA. If he has, then DonnieMusso had better watch out. He could be hanging around a filling station almost before you know it.

Anti Defamation League

This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Our politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety.

It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge.

In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead.
