When pressed, claimed he was joking when he promised to end the war on his first day. We know he was bull ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊, but a whole bunch of low-info voters thought he was serious.

Certain posters on these boards repeatedly talked up his promises, too. Like Trump wasn't totally full of it all around, like he didn't show his actual overall stance with his praise of Putin when Putin invaded, and like Trump wasn't just pushing a Russian disinformation based worldview about Ukraine's relationship with the US and acting to sabotage the US' interests to further his own.
 
I agree with this Asian guy's assessment of DEI. Have seen evidence that goes beyond that but living in America you can't even talk about it I believe. I personally benefit from it however at this stage of my life. One thing he fails to realize is that he is a working class stiff and there is no virtue in that going to the ivy leagues. Mostly they don't want low class anybody regardless of race. They are there but usually not at the top. The line from one expert about how 'the USA as we know it is gone, and I'm not betting a penny that it's coming back' was pretty chilling, too.

Edit: And the part advising visitors to the US to bring burner phones, not 'the phone you used to talk to your aunt about how Dump creeps you out'. This is, as the article says, russia or East Germany-level authoritarianism. The way they'll have lots and lots of info about everything from your debt to your health is deeply concerning, too.
