Let me scare you: Suppose the economy improves, despite Trump's worst efforts. Suppose it happens before the mid-terms. Those same low-info voters that gave Trump the 2024 election will have forgotten the first 100 days of this disaster. Defeating maga-fascism will require dems taking both houses.

Indeed, somehow not a cult. Donald Trump bankrupted six companies. Know what happens when you bankrupt a country and destroy its economy? There's no safety net. There's no "declaring bankruptcy" and getting infinite do-overs. Donald Trump doesn't understand anything except being a bully. And he's frankly too stupid to see the rest of the world calling his bluffs.

Is Trump's claim true? Is there evidence to back it up?

Even if it is true, this is an example of poor journalism, not fraud. If Harris had given a "disastrous" answer, I think for the sake of journalistic integrity they should have deleted the entire question and answer from the interview, or run both with a followup showing Harris's other response.

Yes. 60 Minutes edited the Harris interview. They omitted Harris' answer to a particular question and replaced it with one of her answers to another similar question. The claim that Harris' original answer was incoherent is, of course, a matter of subjective opinion.

Agreed. The claim had little if any legal merit. However, Paramount caved likely to smooth their intended merger with Skydance Media, which requires regulatory approval by the Trump administration. 60 Minutes producer Bill Owens resigned in protest.

I chalk it up to empty homeschooling blackboards full of mayo stains and bullet holes. But perhaps there is a simpler answer: If pride comes before a fall, then criminally false virtue signalling comes before a face-smashing pratfall.

If it was about journalistic integrity Fox would be getting sued by Trump for all the ass kissing they do. It's all about no one being allowed to disagree with Trump.

No, it's not the first time in history. Far from it. And even if it were, what would be the point? Would it make it any worse? Worse than if it were only the second, third or fourth time? You love those sweeping, philosophical generalizations because they enable unspecific lamentations about ... nothing, really.
