Let me scare you: Suppose the economy improves, despite Trump's worst efforts. Suppose it happens before the mid-terms. Those same low-info voters that gave Trump the 2024 election will have forgotten the first 100 days of this disaster. Defeating maga-fascism will require dems taking both houses.well if we hang on until the economy crashes, that might piss off enough people. then again, nothing else has. money is different though.
This is the most stupidly ignorant take on global labor economics I have ever seen. I know high school students who are more economically savvy than he is.Also Lutnick: "We invent the iPhone, which is awesome. Why do we let everyone else build it? Why can't we build it here? ... we need hundreds of thousands of Americans who work in those factories."
Indeed, somehow not a cult. Donald Trump bankrupted six companies. Know what happens when you bankrupt a country and destroy its economy? There's no safety net. There's no "declaring bankruptcy" and getting infinite do-overs. Donald Trump doesn't understand anything except being a bully. And he's frankly too stupid to see the rest of the world calling his bluffs. Not a cult
Lutnick: "Let the greatest dealmaker make his deals. Right? When you don't bet on Donald Trump, you're making a mistake. He understands ... let the guy build America back. And trust him."
Which is really quite amazing since he claimed he has already made '200 deals'.Trump: "We have more than 100 countries that are calling morning, noon, and night dying to make a deal."
Is Trump's claim true? Is there evidence to back it up?Donald having another rant at 60 Minutes, CBS and Paramount
As well as setting up a shakedown of the New York Times
He's not insane at all
Donald Trump said:Kamala Harris, during Early Voting and, immediately before Election Day, was asked a question, and gave an answer, that was so bad and incompetent that it would have cost her many of the Votes that she ended up getting. It was a disastrous answer! 60 Minutes and its corporate parents, in order that this not have a negative impact on her, removed and deleted Kamala's entire answer, every word of it, and replaced it with a response that she gave later on to an entirely different question. The new answer was not good, but it didn't show Gross Incompetence like the one that was removed by 60 Minutes.
Yes. 60 Minutes edited the Harris interview. They omitted Harris' answer to a particular question and replaced it with one of her answers to another similar question. The claim that Harris' original answer was incoherent is, of course, a matter of subjective opinion. Is Trump's claim true? Is there evidence to back it up?
Agreed. The claim had little if any legal merit. However, Paramount caved likely to smooth their intended merger with Skydance Media, which requires regulatory approval by the Trump administration. 60 Minutes producer Bill Owens resigned in protest.Even if it is true, this is an example of poor journalism, not fraud.
And it never stops:182. Trump: “Your shower heads, your toilets, the whole thing—it’s a disaster. We now have it so you can have as much water as you want, because it’s not an environmental problem.”
From post 14,389:Trump CRASHES OUT at HALF EMPTY rally, rants about TOILETS! (David Pakman on YouTube, May 1, 2025 - 8:27 min.)
During a half-empty rally, Donald Trump crashes out, increasingly frustrated and unhinged
2:00--> Pakman: But then it got even weirder. Donald Trump once again ranting about toilets. This guy is obsessed with plumbing. This guy's obsessed with water pressure. And once again, toilets. Has there ever been a president as obsessed with toilets as Trump? You know, it was William Howard Taft ranting and raving about being able to flush once. Listen to this:
Trump: "... all night long, and by the way: Did you just see what I did? Straws! I wiped out the paper straw, little thing."
Pakman: "I flushed millions of straws down my toilet."
Trump: "Your sink. You ever try buying a new sink and no water comes out? Your shower heads, your toilets, the whole thing. It's a disaster. We now have it so you can have as much water as you want because it's not an environmental problem. You have areas, they can't get rid of their water and yet they have, they put restrictors on them. You used to take them off, but now you can't because they're welded in, but now, you don't have to. Have to worry about that because"
Pakman: "It would be interesting to do an analysis of how many times presidents said the word toilet publicly during their presidencies. It has to be that there's no one who even can hold a candle to Donald Trump."
[Che] Guevara ended his remarks by insinuating that the United States was not interested in real reforms, sardonically quipping that "U.S. experts never talk about agrarian reform; they prefer a safe subject, like a better water supply. In short, they seem to prepare the revolution of the toilets."
If it was about journalistic integrity Fox would be getting sued by Trump for all the ass kissing they do. It's all about no one being allowed to disagree with Trump. Is Trump's claim true? Is there evidence to back it up?
Even if it is true, this is an example of poor journalism, not fraud. If Harris had given a "disastrous" answer, I think for the sake of journalistic integrity they should have deleted the entire question and answer from the interview, or run both with a followup showing Harris's other response.
No, it's not the first time in history. Far from it. And even if it were, what would be the point? Would it make it any worse? Worse than if it were only the second, third or fourth time? You love those sweeping, philosophical generalizations because they enable unspecific lamentations about ... nothing, really.Notably, this is the first time in history that an empire and a people have gone down in an epic, unprovoked self-own.
Homeschooling blackboards full of mayo stains and bullet holes!Nero came close, but Trump is going for the "win". What brought this about?
I chalk it up to empty homeschooling blackboards full of mayo stains and bullet holes. But perhaps there is a simpler answer: If pride comes before a fall, then criminally false virtue signalling comes before a face-smashing pratfall.
According to the Bible* it's "Pride goeth before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall."Notably, this is the first time in history that an empire and a people have gone down in an epic, unprovoked self-own. Nero came close, but Trump is going for the "win". What brought this about?
