Trump's Second Term

So, there's a significant part of the US Army who have had practice planning an invasion of Canada? 😲
Probably not I did that in '88, such plans are made for various countries, and just as exercises, moving a division in a control manner is complicated. We were looking at moving the 1st Infantry by road so were figuring out refueling points, AD points, maintenance recovery site locations, medical support in the column, MP support, how units would be scheduled to enter the length of convoys, where the fuel GOERS would be, etc. I remember in planning to use rail in the central American staff study we found the Guatemala and Honduran rail lines while on maps but weren't functional and had to go to a mix of rail, shipping to Veracruz...

What you want is not just Trump out of office, but a total overthow of the US overnment and probalby junking the consttiuion. and the US becoming just like a Euro SOcial Democracy. Not happening.
And if the GOP really does shut down any possiblityof legal peaceful change, I don't see it having a peaceful ending.
Please stop.

Yup, me too.

I remember all the protests during Nixon's time, starting out against the Vietnam war, and then morphing into a call for his ouster because of Watergate.

Many of those protesting (according to Nixon anyway) were evil, freaky, long-haired, hippie-type troublemakers who smoked pot, and that's why I think he made marijuana a Schedule One drug---against the advice of most of the medical and psychological experts of the day.

Today, we (smart folks anyway) know that it can at least help many epileptic children lead an almost normal life.

The fat clown is doing the same thing, except he's using deportation as a way to get rid of those protesting against him.

As a matter of fact, I can see so many similarities between the two, including the fact that Nixon also had an "enemies list," just like the ignorant, lying, hypocritically stupid fat clown does today.

Unfortunately, sometimes history does repeat itself. The only thing that changes are the details.

At least back then we had some style. Nixon's Nixon (Agnew) had Bill Safire to buff his trumpet. We used to be the nattering nabobs of negativism! Those were the days!

George Orwell would have a field day with Trump and his cult.

Lets see.

Two minutes hate

Doublespeak.

Duckspeak.

Memory hole

Big Brother

Newspeak

Doubleplusgood

And of course the big ones.

War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Ignorance is Strength

And so on.

You missed the most important for MAGA

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command

I can easily believe that. That trump would be way too insecure to allow another person to color his hair or apply his makeup. That way he can pretend nobody knows! It's his secret! The only exception must be poor Melania, hard to hide that kind of thing from the wife. No wonder she's had so much trouble playing the 'adoring wife' role.

That picture reminds me of a line in "Splinter of the Mind's Eye" where Leia stares at the back of an Imperial officer's head as if by doing so she could drive him mad. (I read the book once, in the late 1970s, but somehow that line stuck with me)

trump is also being ridiculed for the "botched bronzer job on his face" when he appeared at the White House press event for Liberation Day.

As a former employer of mine once suggested, "There's got to be something wrong with him."
I feel sorry for the likes of Tussauds and other wax-work exhibitions, if they produce an accurately coloured and sized Trump no one will believe it is lifelike!

Yeah that's a definite "if looks could kill" vibe.

That's not very nice!

Personally, I'm hoping Trump will prove his greatness by repeating something a past great politician did, the late, great Budd Dwyer. Think about it: Trump wants to be remembered, right? That would do it!
I wish he would shup up every day it something new. He is one of those people who think talking is actually getting things done.

Live footage is broadcast with a delay nowadays, so eh, fine by me. I'd prefer him facing justice at some point, but apparently that was too much to hope for, so I'll settle with him going the way of Budd (and Adolf).

Well, let's put it this way. Only one billionaire in this scenario was handing out million-dollar checks onstage to his supporters.
But that’s something completely different, because he was doing it for a good cause! :sarcasm:
