The thing is, it makes an unpleasant kind of sense. During Trump's tenure, the generals will have studied this, so it wouldn't have much impact on their decision making. The damage is down the line, when Trump will have gone, so why would he care about it? It's just a cost for no benefit until the future beyond when he cares.
 
Yep you go there usually as a senior Captain/Major/LT. Colonels, prior to Battalion command or staff position. I remember two staff exercises one planning a movement of an Infantry division to Central America (rail and road) the second to plan the logistics of an advance into Canada (to learn how to use railroads, highways and airports to support a multiple division advance) - not really to invade them.

I guess given Dump's health condition, a climatic shootout or fist fight between the two is too much to hope for, but a clash of some kind would sure be nice.

MEP, in this case, which, admittedly, I hadn't heard of. The link is to a mostly restricted WIRED article and I'm not seeing much other news about this, though. It's one of those many cuts that are overshadowed by more pressing news, after all.

So, there's a significant part of the US Army who have had practice planning an invasion of Canada? 😲

Yup, me too.

I remember all the protests during Nixon's time, starting out against the Vietnam war, and then morphing into a call for his ouster because of Watergate.

Many of those protesting (according to Nixon anyway) were evil, freaky, long-haired, hippie-type troublemakers who smoked pot, and that's why I think he made marijuana a Schedule One drug---against the advice of most of the medical and psychological experts of the day.

Today, we (smart folks anyway) know that it can at least help many epileptic children lead an almost normal life.

The fat clown is doing the same thing, except he's using deportation as a way to get rid of those protesting against him.

As a matter of fact, I can see so many similarities between the two, including the fact that Nixon also had an "enemies list," just like the ignorant, lying, hypocritically stupid fat clown does today.

Unfortunately, sometimes history does repeat itself. The only thing that changes are the details.
