Trump's Second Term

Too complicated .. so far it's been few %. It might make sense if he drops some companies to 50%, then buys, then lets them get back. Compared to Trump coin which was traded in tens of billions, it's just not worth it.
He's playing penny stocks, that's why he wanted to get rid of the penny. So all you could buy with it was stocks he's trading. It's transdimensional chess, crossing between realities. Well OK, unrealities, dimensionally transidental, bigger on the inside than the outside (much like his edification). That's why he's against trans people, thinks they'll shut down his portals to his transdimensional unrealities.

I can't believe I didn't think of this! BRILLIANT!

Donald's message to Gaza "RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!
He's sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job.
Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump
"Shalom Hamas" means Hello and Goodbye You can choose. Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you. Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted! I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don't do as I say. I have just met with your former Hostages whose lives you have destroyed. This is your last warning! For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance. Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD! Make a SMART decision. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!
This to an organisation that has had tens of thousands killed by Israeli, and by extension American, weapons. :cautious:

Even fifth-grade mafia actors don't threaten like this. This is stupid, petulant, childish, amateur dramatics. It's the complete opposite of "being presidential". He really is so far out of his depth that there is no daylight.

If Hamas were to take him even the slightest bit seriously, which I'm fairly sure they won't, they could maybe start delivering all the bodies of their own dead to Israel. Just bring them all in. Tens of thousands of them. Pile them up in long rows. Even body parts. And have international media crews present. Say nothing. Just ensure that Trump sees it and knows what he asked for.

Wait, what?!? "People of Gaza"?!? Didn't he want to relocate them so he could build his trump 'Gaza Land'. Well, genocide and gentrification, it's at least alliterative racisms. The quite parts out loud have become more literate while still illegitimate.

Don't be silly! He needs them to be unpaid laborers to build his casinos on their land before he has them forcibly relocated.

The Heritage Foundation type Conservatives have realized that trying to understand how anything works is a trap, because it will make you realize that is is incredibly hard to do better than what is already being done, and any change will lead to a great hardship to a lot of people.

Hence any action must be taken without considering the consequences, or you might not do them.
The way to find out if you broke the system is when your big donors start squealing in pain - then you can pull the knife out of that wound and stab it somewhere else instead.

You know, just like a surgeon works.

CNN Breaking News saying "Trump administration plans to cut more than 70,000 jobs at the Department of Veterans Affairs, according to an internal memo obtained by CNN"
Firing people is not the way to reduce federal spending. Estimates vary, but federal wages account for "about $350 billion on federal employees every year, out of a $6.5 trillion budget." DOGE has a goal of saving between 1 and 2 trillion dollars a year. If every single US government employee was fired today, that would get them only 35% of the way to a $1 trillion goal and a mere 17% of the way to a $2 trillion goal.

The real reason for firing people is to make the government so dysfunctional it simply cannot operate. That's been the Project 2025 (and earlier projects) dreams for years. It will make a few people very rich by having private enterprise pick up the slack, and potentially impoverish millions.

Is doing the right thing for the wrong reason a positive nor a negative?
That's obviously a grey area, though it's also pretty normal in practice. Personally, I'd evaluate it in line with the net effect and the nature of the two. In this case, it's quite firmly in the negative. The harm is likely to greatly surpass the potential benefits and the brazen dishonesty has consequences itself.
Thanks for your input. My understanding of your comment is Trump's use of inflammatory language in section 1 of the executive order outweighs the positive message of honouring this murdered girl. I've added this to my list with a score of -1.

Yo had another reversal with GSA pulling the list of buildings to be disposed of they posted yesterday.
They listed every federal building in Sacramento, which has the state headquaters for quite a few federal agencies, including some consisered core by the Trump Aminisitration. Pure idiocy.
They need the assets to still be owned by the agencies, so that when they privatise them there are still assets to be stripped.

I think it is worth considering which of the two (President of USA or President of Russia) has threatened to annex a neighbouring country which is a NATO member, and also to annex part of another NATO country. Which is the greatest threat to NATO. Exactly which threat is European rearmament really needing to address?

Perhaps the propaganda from the USSR that soviet troops in Eastern Europe were to protect against a warmongering neo-colonialist US was prescient?

Thanks to a long, rambling and factually challenged speech to Congress on March 4, as of the close of the day on March 5 my positive/negative score on the Trump administration stands at -240.

Do we think he might be manipulating the stock market? He seems to be able to make the various indexes go up and down at will by announcing tariffs and then rescinding them.
Of course he is, or the people that work him are doing it.

As a result, it will not be a cost-saving at all. Private enterprise versions of government services always, without exception, cost a LOT more. So DOGE won't save $2 trillion, or $1 trillion, or even one red (retired) cent. The same services will cost trillions MORE than they do now, with fewer people working them.

What's more, private enterprise is all about profits. So services like postal, education, air services, transport, etc. will cost exponentially more. And health will get even more expensive than it is now. So much so that all but billionaire Americans will be able to afford it. The rest of you peons can die for all they care.

Listing the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City as one of those to be disposed of hasn't gone down well.

Do we think Elon and his DOGE tec bros even know it's significance?
I think the better questions, at this point, would be "Would they care, whether or not they knew?" and "What are the chances that they'd do this intentionally, perhaps as part of a larger effort to overload the US' ability to deal with outrageous crap?"
