One of the bright spots of the trump admin is watching these clingers twist themselves into pretzels to explain the latest deranged and/or illegal utterance from their hero.

I remember when I was like, "where are they going to find as big a piece of ◊◊◊◊ as Tucker Carlson to take over his time slot?". They went even bigger.

Me too, made me think of having to promise not to try to overthrow the government, when you went to the US back in the day. I can just see the revolutionaries swearing silently to themselves; "foiled again by your clever questions!", and turning back to where they came from.
