Everyone knows that Canada doesn’t let our Great Dairy Farmers sell into the Canadian Market, and that the only reason Canada makes Autos is because of previous disastrous Trade Agreements while other Presidents were in Office. Canada has been ripping us off for years, but what many do not realize is that the Canadian Government, including Canadian Provinces, have banned American Small Businesses and Companies from selling into their Government Procurement Markets. This is the case even though Canada gets broad access into the massive American Government Procurement Market, including those of our States. That is not reciprocity, it is a Canadian Trade Scam. From now on, NO RECIPROCITY – NO ACCESS! I am hereby directing the GSA, working with the USTR, to take all necessary steps to REMOVE Canadian-origin products from GSA’s Multiple Award Schedules unless Canada restores full and fair reciprocity for American Farmers and Companies. Those schedules account for more than 50 BILLION DOLLARS a year. This should have been cut off years ago, by other Administrations, like it was by mine, only to reinstituted by Sleepy Joe Biden. I'm not sure what this is supposed to convince us of. All it proves is he was around later for a photo opp with some first responders.

That's not anywhere near downtown Manhattan. That's a very open location with a billboard and an apartment block. Far more likely in outer Queens, where Trump usually operated. The fire-fighter's badge may help locate his unit. And I doubt it is even any timeframe in or around 9/11. Could be way, way earlier -Trump looks quite young and is not wearing his usual long tie.

This is incredibly dumb for a number of reasons.

First of all, US banks are not blocked from operating in Canada. There are regulations that they have to follow, but that is typical of canadian businesses in general. And there are over a dozen US banks that have branches or subsidiaries in canada

Secondly, trying to block Bombardier will have a significant negative impact on the American aerospace industry, as Bombardier does some manufacturing and sourcing in the United States.

Most importantly, trump may have harmed the ability of the republicans to maintain control of the senate.

You see, Bombardier has its US headquarters in Kansas, and Kansas is one of the senate seats up for re-election in the 2026 midterms. Now, Kansas has not elected a democratic senator for over half a century, and the republican incumbent is currently leading in the polls. But tgat lead is down to single digits (in a state trump carried by 16%), and alienating a major employer in the state is not going to make the republicans look good.

I still expect the republicans to win the Kansas senate seat, but the race will probably be more competitive than it should be, and it may require republicans to spend more money there than they would want to (instead of spending the cash to shore up their support in places like Maine or texas)
