I see where you are coming from, but I think he's still capable of lying, although I also wouldn't be surprised if he sometimes convinces himself that that is the truth

I don't think Trump cares whether the things he says are true or not; and with somebody whose entire MO is such a careless disregard for any standard of truth other than what may serve him to say at any given moment, it's really kind of useless to debate whether he recognizes a difference that is so immaterial to him.

The Journal reported that Trump regularly calls top fundraiser Meredith O'Rourke, whom he's dubbed the "princess of darkness," from the White House to review who has donated and who has not. According to people familiar with the conversations, the president frequently tells O'Rourke to raise the size of her requests, with some donors being asked for as much as $50 million.

She must have seen it coming like the lights on a train in a tunnel. She had to proceed on Trump's obvious fairytale about knife cuts hundreds of feet long, so initially DOJ needed deniability - not to know from DOI that it was just a botched job. Going ahead with repairs and destroying their own evidence, as the judge warned them, was a way to let the unwinnable case collapse. Announcing now that the DOI failed to tell them what everyone in the world already knew looks like deflecting blame, but she's rather painted into a corner(!) because she has to tell the judge something in black and white explaining why she did what she did. "Because Trump yelled and made me" might have been even worse.

Today, the Board of Peace reached a HISTORIC agreement for the COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. This is a monumental step toward lasting PEACE and SECURITY.

This agreement is a critical step towards Gaza finally being governed by a new Palestinian government that will work closely with the Board of Peace to help the Palestinian people. At the same time, Israel will have the security it deserves, with Gaza no longer used as a base for terror attacks.

This is a major milestone in the implementation of the Trump 20-Point Plan. The agreement will be carried out in carefully structured phases. As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and the International Stabilization Force will work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza being safe for its residents and its neighbors.

One year ago there was a violent raging war, humanitarian crisis and hostages kept in brutal captivity. We have made historic progress and there is still much work to do.

I want to thank the mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye—for their important efforts, and especially my outstanding team, whose tireless work made this historic breakthrough possible.

National Guard members shoved a retired Army captain to the pavement in violent retaliation for her opposition to their deployment in Washington, D.C., the decorated soldier said in a multimillion-dollar administrative claim filed this week...

King, 44, was sitting on a bench outside her home at about 7:05 p.m. when “three National Guardsmen walked through the gate and announced they were” apprehending her, though they “did not have a warrant and did not explain the basis for” detaining her, according to the complaint made against the Idaho National Guard.

The guard members “grabbed her arms and back and shoved her toward the concrete patio” before two of them “pressed their weight down on her and cuffed her wrists behind her back, extraordinarily tightly, with plastic handcuffs,” King’s legal team wrote...

The “only apparent reason the Guards targeted Ms. King was her speech, via the prominent signs in her window, criticizing their presence in the District,” according to the claim...

A Defense Department official declined to comment on King’s allegations on Friday.
