They have a "charge" for Donald Trump that nobody has ever been charged with in the History of Manhattan, and they didn't charge Hillary Clinton's lawyer who became the Chief Prosecutor, Mark Pomerantz, and the Judge's Daughter was the Chief Fundraiser for Kamala Harris and Sleepy Joe Biden. A lot of barriers are due to actions by non-Federal governments. E.g. ticket gouging. The cost of a transit ticket from from Penn Station in Manhattan to the venue, which is about 18 miles, are normally $12.90 (£9.50) for a return fare. The prices were then increased on match days to $150 (£111) but after complaints they were reduced to $98 (£73) while shuttle bus fares are down to $20 (£15) from $80 (£59). The justification from NJ governor was that they shouldn't subsidise travel for visitors. (Normally prices aren't increased for events and there is no record of increased prices being charged to non-NJ tax payers.) Most countries provide subsidised or free shuttle buses for the world cup, which was the original deal with the US.

Round-trip tickets from central Boston (South Station) to Boston Stadium at Foxborough usually cost $20 (£15) but fans will be charged $80 (£60) at the World Cup.

There is concern that US hotel rooms are under booked.

I feel like suggesting a technical correction. The guy likely has been in a scrap. Not necessarily as an actual fighter, though, so much as the guy paying a bunch of people to stand in front of him and commit violence so he'll get what he wants. He was raised, worked with, and learned from organized crime figures, after all, which likely has much to do with his overarching love for thuggery across the board.

ETA: One of those old Trump history stories I read during his first term was of him doing pretty much exactly as I just described, either way. I don't recall enough to easily find link to the article that the story was in, though.

If there were the merest hint that he could get hurt, you wouldn't see TACO for his dust.
 
He's getting ready for failure. Telling critics to sit back, relax and shut up "chirping" is preparing the way to blame others for his peace plan with Iran being another disaster. It would have been the greatest peace ever if those Dumocrats hadn't kept putting him off being a super genius. As if they sneezed while he was putting. (Except of course Trump doesn't need a putter because anything within 50 feet of the pin is a gimme.)

I hate going to the Meadowlands. Its an awful drive and the only thing worse is trying to take the train there. I made that mistake once for a Giants-Cowboys game. The facilities there are pretty nice, but the drive to the middle of nowhere and the awful parking make me dread it.

What gets me is the Giants are supposed to be the "blue collar New Yorkers' team". WE ALL TAKE THE ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ TRAIN TO WORK! We walk everywhere.

He's trying to reassure the cult. There have been a lot of MAGA being deeply discouraged....not enough to change their votes but enough might decide to not bother voting for more cult. Some Arcons have even started muttering that Trump must be an undercover Democrat, and the conservative subreddits are looking more and more like they are just filled with bots and foreign operators. If he doesn't say something to reassure them it will cascade. Expect a lot of "6D Chess moves, you just gotta wait" coming from the Trump state media soon.
 
Keep the faith and vote for him anyway. He must have his reasons. Trump moves in a mysterious way, his wonders to perform. Just a matter of time and all his promises will come true.

Or he's an increasingly senile narcissistic idiot, marching the US toward decline and failure.

A federal judge is refusing to order the removal of a controversial flag that reads “86 47” flying close to the White House. The Secret Service called for the flag flying at the corner of Pennsylvania and Constitution avenues to come down, arguing the phrase may incite violence against President Donald Trump.

However, U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss wrote in his order, “The government seeks to squelch core political speech without any articulable — much less evidentiary — basis for concluding that the speech actually threatens the life or safety of the President.”

The group Accountability Now put the flag up around May 12 and has another two weeks, under a National Park Service permit, to leave it up. The organization asked the federal courts to get involved after its members were confronted by Secret Service Officers and were asked to take the flag down.

According to the court documents, a Secret Service officer had an exchange about the flag with an unnamed person who was part of Accountability Now. In that exchange, the officer tells the volunteer they had gotten a call because of the flag and what it could stand for.

But about 25 minutes later, two different officers approached and things became more confrontational, court documents state, when they read the same volunteer the Miranda warning. She was not arrested, but the Secret Service opened an investigation into the volunteer as a “potential threat,” according to court documents.

The part about lack of pedestrian access is disturbingly common in the US, if you didn't know. That they do it this way for a world cup final is particularly egregious, but it's also par for the course. Walking? Why would you want to walk a short distance when you can call an Uber?
