Either way, she's certainly acting as a point of data in favor of the view pushed in Republican propaganda that the baddies are just bad people through and through and so deserve to be treated as sub-human. The concept may well be as prominent as it is because it resonates with their understanding of themselves.

I think he just realized it would cut out an unnecessary layer to just accept donations to himself, personally, and then not pay for anybody else's anything. After all, why help anybody, deserving or not?
