If you are truly interested there is an excellent Youtube video discussing the evolution of what defined a battleship and why they fell out of favour. Short version is a 'battleship' was many things over the centuries so the term could be revived quite easily.

If that was prompted by my post, I thought the article quite droll. Pretty much for the reasons you mentioned.

Apparently the Chinese ship will be armed with "hydrosonic quantum missiles". The Trump class has a very confused set of requirements. Basically it wants to be a stealthy sniper that literally has a global reach. At the same time, it seems to be required to be able get into a knife fight. I think those two roles would be more effectively and cheaply performed by two completely separate vessels.

Trump has a true talent for taking any event and making it cringeworthy. The Artemis II launch is a historic event and he just couldn't help himself:

So Trump showed up at SCOTUS as they review his birthright citizenship removal EO. Perhaps to intimidate his hand-picked judges, perhaps to bask in the glory of his EO being chosen over a Constitutional Amendment. But he left after only 45 minutes as it was apparent even the right-wing judges were not having it. Roberts in particular shredded the Trump admins arguments but it wasn't like he was the only one.

Unless there is a huge pivot I doubt Donnie's EO is going to stand.

Two things are infinite, the universe and the list of things the toddler has ◊◊◊◊ all clue about, and I'm not sure about the former.
