• Government financing works differently from household financing
• Despite the large amount of US debt, the debt holders seem comfortable financing it
• Some of the numbers presented are very long term (75 years) and are uncertain

About government funding being different to household funding; this is true but polticians, governments and media have been spending decades trying to convince us otherwise in order to push austerity.

True to form, the Trump administration has chosen to defy the court ruling and double down on their unconstitutional behavior. Rather than simply return their press credentials and restore their access, the Pentagon chose to shut down the reporters' offices entirely, and designate an off-site facility to house them. That is a direct rejection of the court ruling, and representatives of the journalists have vowed to return to court to challenge this obvious end-run around the law.

The strident efforts on the part of Trump and his minions to muzzle the media make one thing perfectly clear. They are scared witless of real news being reported and voters finding out all of the nefarious schemes that they are engaging in. The Trump regime is acting exactly like the totalitarian tyrants (Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping, etc.) that he idolizes and seeks to emulate.

Former Governor Jesse Ventura just alleged on live TV that Donald Trump only got into the WWE Hall of Fame because he used his power to stop a federal sexual investigation into Vince McMahon.

It would not be surprising to me that Vince McMahon had some skeletons in his closet. However, I am skeptical of claims that Trump was appointed to the WWE hall of fame because Trump helped stop a federal investigation into McMahon.

First of all, as another poster mentioned, Trump had no real political power at the time. He was put into the hall of fame in 2013. At that time he hadn't even really started his political campaign for the 2016 election. So how would he have stopped any investigation? (At most he could have given McMahon advice in how to cover things up.)

Secondly, there are other explanations that make more sense. It looks like the 2 of them have some long-running friendship (probably based on a mutual love of self-promotion.) And Trump had a small amount of fame from things like his appearance on The Apprentice. (It would make sense for the WWE to want to capitialize on that.)

Iran rejects Trump's 15-point plan to end war: State TV

Iran has informed the U.S. through intermediaries that it rejects the Trump administration's 15-point proposal for negotiations, Iran's English-language Press TV reported on Wednesday.

What they're saying: A senior Iranian official told Press TV the U.S. terms were "excessive" and the war would only end "on Tehran's own terms and timeline."

• The Iranian official told Press TV that Tehran saw the latest proposal by the Trump administration to hold negotiations "as a ploy."
• Axios reported overnight that Iran had told the mediators it suspected Trump's push for peace talks was a ruse, given the U.S. is currently sending thousands of troops to the region.

Press TV reported that Iran has five conditions for a ceasefire and ending the war:

• Complete halting of attacks and assassinations by the U.S. and Israel.
• The establishment of mechanisms to ensure the war doesn't resume.
• Compensation for the damages caused during the war.
• Halting all U.S. and Israeli attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon and pro-Iranian militias in Iraq.
• Receiving international recognition and guarantees for Iran's authority over the Strait of Hormuz.

And so the war, or non-war depending on who you believe, continues.

This is not ending anytime soon, and it will not end well for anyone.
