What is this babble? Hegseth's combat experience.

Pete Hegseth, who now serves as Secretary of Defense in the second Trump administration, is often presented as a “combat veteran” and military expert. He is both — but only in the most generous, shallow sense.

Hegseth served in the Army National Guard after graduating from Princeton, and he did deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was awarded a Bronze Star and a Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB), having served in civil-affairs operations and as an adviser in Afghanistan.

But let’s be clear: Hegseth was not a front-line leader of combat troops under sustained fire. He did not command an infantry company in protracted combat or lead exhausted soldiers through night patrols and firefights.

He served honorably — but his service is not what he markets. What he sells is the image of the modern American warrior as loud, aggressive, and built for Instagram, not endurance or humility.

It’s a dangerous distortion. And it shows.

To say that Operation Epic Fury is ahead of schedule is a tremendous understatement. This is one of the most impressive military operations conceived in American history and it is being aggressively executed.

Iran’s capability to generate attacks has been reduced by 50% and their security infrastructure, which is the iron fist of the regime, is under siege. The leadership has been substantially decapitated, with more to come. Hats off to Admiral Cooper and all our men and women participating in this operation. You make us proud.

Finally, President Trump is proving to be the most consequential commander in chief in modern times.

Victory is in sight.

And it's likely that he didn't serve honourably in either country. Remember, officers get Bronze Stars for occasionally showing up on the right day and being not too drunk to stand when addressed by a superior. It's only enlisted troops that get Bronze Stars for good conduct/bravery.

You're definitely NOT a RINO. It's the MAGA weirdos who are the RINO's. The term "Republican" is a noun, which literally refers to a person who supports a federal-style Republican form of government in which you elect people to a chamber (we call a "Congress" and other nations call a "Parliament") to represent your interests. And that chamber has very important checks on the chief executive. As opposed to a pure "Democracy" in which the people vote for themselves the sorts of laws and policies that are passed. Which is what "Democrats" (noun) literally supports.

A Republic typically is ruled by a Constitution as the Law of the Land, and cannot so easily be amended. This gives stability and guaranteed rights and voices to minorities. A pure democracy, the majority rules all of the time, and is very easy to destroy the rights and voices of minorities. Which is why the "DEMOCRATS" were ultra-right-wing, pro-slavery, and founders of the KKK. And why the opposed the federal government when Lincoln was elected in the first place.

In other parts of the world and deeper in the past, "Republicans" were radicals that needed to be wiped out by the authoritarian monarchs of Europe. There were merchant republics like Genoa and Venice, and such nation-states were extremely successful commercial traders. And for good reason. But in any case, it was always understood that Republicans support....well....Republican forms of government that puts severe limits on the power of the chief executive (or the monarchs of Europe), hence, why they were "radicals" and "needed to be wiped out." They were a major threat to monarchies of Europe. At least, a threat to their ultimate power.

So no. You aren't a RINO. Only those who call themselves "Republican" that are authoritarian right-wing conservatives who call into question the legitimacy of our elections and who oppose the rights of minorities are the actual RINOs. They truly are NOT Republicans.

I haven't been ridiculed for being a registered Republican in a long time, and I think it's because either most people have forgotten, or they've seen for themselves that I'm not a nazi, or (my personal favorite) most dems are a whole hell of a lot smarter than the fat clown and his maga weirdoes are.
