What even is that statement? Democrats want to take peoples' dogs? Is he just mimicking his demented KinderFührer, or is there some kind of context here? Is he trying to evoke associations to the dog and cat eating Haitians?

i believe he was arrested, tried and acquitted. The judge, I think, remarked that the death of his daughter was suffering enough. Of course he didn't know it was loaded. He'd never operated a gun before, so we're told, so no doubt it was left wing pixies, probably paid by George Soros, who put a clip in and pulled back the slide and chambered a round. Surprise surprise! And of course it's sure to be the Democrats' fault that his fogged brain forgot the basic rules that all guns are presumed loaded, and no gun should be pointed at someone you do not intend to shoot.

I think Messr's Dunning and Kruger might have something to say about the relationship between right wing gun love and elementary gun safety.

MAGA dad not charged for fatally shooting daughter after heated argument about Trump

A MAGA dad in Texas fatally shot his 23-year-old daughter after the two got into an argument over Donald Trump.

Lucy Harrison travelled to the Lone Star State to visit her conservative father, Kris Harrison, at his home in a northern Dallas suburb in January 2025. However, the reunion turned deadly after the two got into a heated argument about Donald Trump ahead of his second term inauguration.

After tensions between the two came to a peak, Lucy was shot in the chest during the Jan. 10 encounter. According to the BBC, Harrison admitted to experiencing an alcohol relapse during the encounter, stating that his renewed drinking may have triggered the shooting.

Lucy, who lived in England, had travelled to the U.S. with her boyfriend, Sam Littler, in the hopes of spending quality time with her overseas parent. The New York Post reported that the two initially butted heads after Lucy asked her father a hypothetical question regarding a woman in a sexual assault case.

"How would you feel if I was the girl in that situation and I'd been sexually assaulted?" she asked her father, according to her boyfriend’s recount of the tragedy.

However, Harrison’s response, in which he allegedly said he would not care as he had other daughters living with him, greatly upset Lucy. After Lucy stormed to the upstairs area, Harrison went to go get her and brought her to his room downstairs. Seconds later, Littler heard a bang as Harrison called out for his wife, Heather.

Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) accused President Donald Trump's team of sharing "nods" to the conspiracy theory group QAnon to "brainwash" supporters.

In a Tuesday post on X, Greene responded to a commenter who said she had worked on Trump campaigns.

"I keep hearing people say how 'tone deaf' Trump is to the whole Epstein issue and that he doesn't seem to grasp the anger of his base," Breck Worsham wrote. "I worked two of Trump's campaigns. He is the most social media savvy president of all time."

"He hears you," she continued. "He simply doesn't care."

"Correct," Greene replied. "And then they intentionally post Q nods and laugh about how MAGA eats it up."

I worked on the Howard Dean campaign, and he was the one who started all the online hoopla with Meet-Ups, and except for the scream (that ruined his campaign for president in 2004), he was a million times better than the fat clown.

Some folks here may not have liked him, but he was the first governor to endorse civil unions, before the SCOTUS decision, and almost lost his next election for Governor because of it.

He also headed the DNC for a few years, believing local grassroots politics was the future for democrats.

He was definitely ahead of his time.

Sorry for the sidetrack, but I really liked the guy and even got to meet him when he came to Seattle.

I stand corrected. The first account I heard had him charged and acquitted, but it appears whatever occurred did so at the inquest level. Disgusting any way you look at it.

One hears occasional suggestions, even from persons who don't want to do too too much gun control, that there should be some kind of "red flag" laws. Might one suggest that having shot one's daughter at point blank range while drunk might be a sufficient red flag?

you can see a video of the father being interviewed, also quotes from the English Coroner's court who determined the death was the result of gross negligence manslaughter. The case never went to trial in Texas because the grand jury thought that pointing a loaded firearm at someone whilst drunk and fatally shooting your daughter in your own home isn't against the law in Texas.
