All I see is him pointing out what he thinks is faux outrage. And I'm inclined to agree with him on that.

The three threads where Boko Harem was discussed were 12 posts, 2 posts and 101 posts long. Out of all those talking about it here, only @dudalb participated there.

The real question is. Does anyone think Trump cares about the violence in Nigeria? I certainly don't. His strike on Nigeria is pure politics, war-mongering and distraction. He wants to be a war president and to distract from the Epstein files. Also, this could be a play to have the nation at war so he can cancel 2026 elections.

That's not Trump wanting to cancel elections, that's Trump taking a dig at Zelensky. So yes, you're paranoid.

Furthermore, your own theory doesn't make any sense even if we accept your premise. If Trump actually wanted to cancel the 2026 elections (I know I can't convince you on this part) and thought he could do so by starting a war (he can't, and he knows he can't, and you should know he can't), this would be a completely stupid way to try to achieve that. War in Nigeria? Get serious. Not only will some air strikes done in coordination with the government of Nigeria not start a war (our strikes on Iran didn't either), but the timing is completely off. You don't start a war to cancel elections when that war might be over well before the elections you're trying to cancel. And Nigeria of all places? Nobody cares enough about Nigeria for us to actually go to war there. So not only is this idea paranoid, it's stupid.

Looking back through the forum, I notice none of those here of ANY political persuasion kicked up much of a fuss about President Obama ordering Operation Neptune Spear, a strike inside a sovereign country to take out Bin Laden. At least in the case of the attack on Boko Harem, it seems likely they had the go ahead from the Nigerian government. Obama had no such permission from the Pakistan government - and since 2002, Pakistan has been a major Non-NATO Ally and a strategic partner, with a fairly lengthy history of military cooperation, especially in counter-terrorism.

For the avoidance of doubt (and because I know from experience that the extreme left tribalists in this forum have this habit of latching onto as little as a single word in a post, and then extrapolating it to paint the poster as a far-right, racist, Nazi, fascist thug) I had absolutely NO problem with Obama's decision take out Bin Laden. I supported it and celebrated it.

I have no problem with The Fat Orange Turd, or Obama, or any other president for that matter, attacking IS or any other terrorist groups wherever they are found. These groups are a ◊◊◊◊-stain on humanity, one that needs to be cleaned from the face of the planet.

Just joking? No, he wasn't just joking. He was insulting Zelensky to his face, implying that he had motive to prolong the war, and basically telling him that he has no good excuse for not holding elections. You don't have to agree with Trump about any of that, but if you can't understand that this is what he was doing, you're clueless.
 
Either way, it's step 1. Also, I sais he "could". The only think keeping Trump from doing crazy crap like this are the guardrails of democracy, which are beginning to fail.

Not in the case of Boko Harem in Nigeria

As regards what he is doing with Venezuela, well, yes. There's your war mongering. He talks up a big game about a war on drugs... but its more about oil. Worldometer ranks Venezuela at global 12th in oil production, and its only that low because of decades of mismanagement and under-investment. Venezuela is potentially a top three oil producer - and I reckon The Fat Orange Turd sees it as plump fruit ripe for picking

Where is the proof this strike did that exactly. For all we know, they may have blown up a bunch of innocents in a rural village in northern Nigeria, not any "terrorists" at all. In fact, quite likely the whole village.

Spear Head was a very targeted, limited operation, with one person as a target. Seal Team Six did not even destroy the house. This...was wanton destruction of some nebulous, unspecified target for the flimsiest of reasons. From the "peace prize" yoinking president.
