Trump: "Portland is on fire. Portland's been on fire for years. And not so much saving it -- we have to save something else. Because I think that's all insurrection, criminal insurrection."

Trump: "Why is it that a governor wouldn't accept free help from regardless? Whether it's National Guard or the military or anybody. Women raped and beaten and knocked to hell and the same with men, where they are being shot all over the place."

“I’d do it if it was necessary. So far, it hasn't been necessary. But we have an Insurrection Act for a reason. If I had to enact it, I'd do that," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Oct. 6. "If people were being killed, courts were holding us up or governors or mayors were holding us up, sure, I'd do that," Trump said. "I want to make sure people aren't killed. We have to make sure our cities are safe." USA Today article link
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker said this morning that trump’s “deranged” depiction of Chicago as a “hellhole” and a “warzone” is “just complete B.S.” That may not matter. The concern is that trump and his minions keep harping on that in order to invoke the Insurrection Act. It doesn't have to be true, trump and the Republicans just need a segment of the public and the courts to be willing to accept it as true.
The Insurrection Act of 1807 is the U.S. federal law that empowers the president of the United States to nationally deploy the U.S. military and to federalize the National Guard units of the individual states in specific circumstances, such as the suppression of civil disorder, of insurrection, and of armed rebellion against the federal government of the U.S. The Insurrection Act provides a statutory exception to the Posse Comitatus Act (1878) that limits the president's deploying the U.S. military to enforce either civil law or criminal law within the United States.

The never-ending emergency. And of course, we can't possibly have elections during the biggest national emergency to ever strike our nation! Why, it's bigger than the War of 1812, the Civil War, and World War II, during all of which we had national elections.

It wouldn't matter what started the fire if a gas line or gas tank went up, maybe even a gas tank on a barbecue stored next to out under the house could have gone up. It should be clear to the fire investigators where and how it started, arson seems likely to me but there's no point speculating yet.
There's definitely an insurrection under way in the USA. Just that Trump and his minions are on the wrong side of it. They are the Confederates of the 21st century.
ICE is choosing to be very bad neighbors even to the actual law enforcement and, well...
Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling told reporters Monday that 27 of his police officers were hit by tear gas that had been deployed by federal immigration agents Saturday on the city’s South Side.
The agents had been called to the area after protesters clashed with federal immigration operations.
“They did not have the equipment to fight off chemical agents, and they were affected by it,” Snelling said of the officers.
Broadview Police Chief Thomas Mills told CBS News that multiple officers responded to a call about someone trying to break into the gate of an ICE facility on Thursday. When they arrived, they just saw a CBS News cameraman and security guard taking pictures.
“It’s disturbing. It’s ridiculous,” Mills said.
“It sure doesn’t look like anyone’s forcing anything in any fence over here,” a Broadview officer said in bodycam footage obtained by CBS News.

South Carolina's top law enforcement official says state agents have so far found no evidence that a fire destroying a judge's home on a South Carolina island was intentionally set.
I’m not sure why people keep wondering where trvmp has disappeared to when it is painfully obvious: he’s at Walter Reed getting pumped full of meds and IVs. It’s medical and not because of the shutdown backlash. He may even be getting dialysis for renal failure due to the diuretics. It’s the beginning of the end. Why else would you think this regime is picking up the pace on the fascism ◊◊◊◊? Once he is gone, this government will crumble. JD has no sway over the cult.
I'm falling behind on this. It's a fair chunk of work sorting through all the input and deciding what to include.
As of the close of the day on September 27, my positive/negative score on the Trump administration stands at -1,370.

-1: Trump declares without evidence that 274 FBI agents were in the crowd during the Jan 7 insurrection as agitators [664]
-1: Trump says he will reduce drug prices by 1,400% [665]

664. Trump: “It was just revealed that the FBI had secretly placed, against all Rules, Regulations, Protocols, and Standards, 274 FBI Agents into the Crowd just prior to, and during, the January 6th Hoax. This is different from what Director Christopher Wray stated, over and over again! That’s right, as it now turns out, FBI Agents were at, and in, the January 6th Protest, probably acting as Agitators and Insurrectionists, but certainly not as “Law Enforcement Officials.” I want to know who each and every one of these so-called “Agents” are, and what they were up to on that now “Historic” Day. Many Great American Patriots were made to pay a very big price only for the love of their Country. I owe this investigation of “Dirty Cops and Crooked Politicians” to them! Christopher Wray, the then Director of the FBI, has some major explaining to do.”
665. Trump: “We will have reduced drug prices by 1000%, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400. Not 30 or 50%. Numbers the likes of which you’ve never even dreamed of before.”

656. At the request of Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists. I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
657. JD Vance: “Housing is too expensive. Groceries are too expensive. I would say they are too expensive because we inherited a disastrous Biden economy.”
658. Stephen Miller: “What James Comey did is truly one of the most severe assaults on our freedoms and liberties that has occurred in the whole history of this nation.”
659. Trump: “I’d like to thank Kash Patel, and the outstanding members of the FBI, for their brilliant work on the recent Indictment of the Worst FBI Director in the History of our Country, James “Dirty Cop” Comey. The level of enthusiasm by the FBI was incredible, but only caused by the fact that they knew Comey for what he is, and was, a total SLIMEBALL! Again, thank you to the FBI and, specifically, those that worked on this case with U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, and the DOJ. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
660. Trump: “It’s about justice. It’s not about revenge. They are sick, radical left people. And they can’t get away with it. And Comey was one of the people. He wasn’t the biggest. But he is a dirty cop. He has always been a dirty cop.”
661. Trump: “Corrupt and Totally Trump Deranged Lisa Monaco (A purported pawn of Legal Lightweight Andrew Weissmann), was a senior National Security aide under Barrack Hussein Obama, and a Lawfare and Weaponization obsessed Deputy Attorney General under Crooked Joe Biden and Lisa’s Puppet “Boss” Attorney General Merrick Garland, who were all the architects of the worst ever Deep State Conspiracies against our Country (RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, the January 6th Hoax, the Illegal Raid on Mar-a-Lago, the Biden “Autopen” Scandal, the Documents Witch Hunt, and more!). Monaco has been shockingly hired as the President of Global Affairs for Microsoft, in a very senior role with access to Highly Sensitive Information. Monaco’s having that kind of access is unacceptable, and cannot be allowed to stand. She is a menace to U.S. National Security, especially given the major contracts that Microsoft has with the United States Government. Because of Monaco’s many wrongful acts, the U.S. Government recently stripped her of all Security Clearances, took away all of her access to National Security Intelligence, and banned her from all Federal Properties. It is my opinion that Microsoft should immediately terminate the employment of Lisa Monaco. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT”

It's not a Constitutional Crisis: Congress, the States and the Courts, and even the Press have the power to keep this Presidency in check - they are just not doing it; either because they like where things are going, or because they think it's harder to stop the destruction than to clean it up afterwards.
It's an Institutional Crisis, with Congress most of all abdicating its role as the most important part of the Government, both as Ruling Party and Opposition.

September 30 was the day Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump addressed the generals and admirals of the US armed forces. There was a huge amount of thing said to be concerned about, and a few lies on top.

References:
664. Hegseth: “For too long we’ve promoted too many uniformed leaders for the wrong reasons -- based on their race, gender quotas, based on historic so-called ‘firsts’ ... we’ve weeded out so-called ‘toxic leaders’ under the guise of double blind psychology assessments ... we became the ‘woke department.’ But not anymore.”
665. Hegseth: “Today, at my direction, each service will ensure that every requirement for every combat MOS, for every designated combat arms position, returns to the highest male standard only.”
666. Hegseth: “It all starts with physical fitness and appearance. If the secretary of war can do regular hard PT, so can every member of our joint force. Frankly, it’s tiring to look out at combat formations or really any formation and see fat troops. Likewise, it’s completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon.”
667. Hegseth: “When it comes to any job that requires physical power to perform in combat, those standards must be high and gender neutral. If women can make it, excellent. If not, it is what it is. If that means no women for some combat jobs, so be it.”
668. Hegseth: “We are overhauling an inspector general process that has been weaponized, putting complainers, ideologues, and poor performers in the driver seat. We are doing the same with the equal opportunity policies. No more frivolous complaints, no more anonymous complains.”
669. Hegseth: “An entire generation of generals and admirals were told that they must the parrot the insane fallacy that ‘our diversity is our strength’ ... they were told females and males are the same thing.”
670. Hegseth: “Basic training is being restored to what it should be -- scary, tough, and disciplined. We’re empowering drill sergeants to instill healthy fear in new recruits, ensuring that future warfighters are forged ... they can put hands on recruits.”
671. Hegseth: “We unleash overwhelming and punishing violence on the enemy. We also don’t fight with stupid rules of engagement. We untie the hands of our warfighters to intimidate, demoralize, hunt, and kill the enemies of our country. No more politically correct and overbearing rules of engagement.”
672. Trump: “We won the first World War, we won the second World War, we won everything in between and everything in before that and then we went woke. That was probably the first sign of wokeness. We changed it to defense instead of war.’
673. Trump: “There has been no fight. No fight. Like when I called the Gulf of America the Gulf of America. I could never understand, we have 92% of the frontage and for years, 350 years they were there before us, it was called the Gulf of Mexico. I had this idea looking at a map and saying we have most of the frontage, why is it gulf of Mexico, why isn’t it the gulf of America?”
674. “We have beautiful paper, the gorgeous paper. I said, ‘throw a little more gold on it, they deserve it. I want the A paper not the D paper.’ We used to sign a piece of garbage ... I want to use the big beautiful firm paper.”
675. Trump: “The prime minister of Pakistan was here along with the field marshal, who’s a very important guy in Pakistan. He was here three days ago. He said to a group of people that were with us, ‘This man saved millions of lives because he saved the war from going on. President Trump saved millions and millions of lives.’”
676. Trump: “You know, our inner cities, which we’ll be talking about because it’s a big part of war now, a big part of war.”
677. Trump: “The past administration -- they did not treat you with respect. They’re Democrats. They never do.”
678. Trump to generals: “Canada called me a couple weeks ago. They want to be a part of it. To which I said, ‘Well, why don’t you just join our country. Become the 51st state. And you get it for free!’ So I don’t know if that made a big impact but it does make a lot of sense.”
679. Trump: “I think we should maybe start thinking about battleships, by the way. We have a Secretary of Navy who came to me, ‘cause I look at the Iowa out in California and I look at different ships, the old pictures. I used to watch Victory at Sea. I love Victory at Sea. And I look at those ships, they came with the destroyers alongside them ... “
680. Trump: “We won every swing state, we won the popular vote. We won everything. You have to take a look at the map. It’s almost entirely red excerpt there’s a little blue line on each coast. And I think that’s gonna disappears too.”
682. Trump to generals: “America is under invasion from within. We’re under invasion from within. No different than a foreign enemy, but more difficult in any ways because they don’t wear uniforms. At least when they’re wearing a uniform you can take them out.”
683. Trump: “The ones that are run by the radical left Democrats -- what they’ve done to San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles. They’re very unsafe places and we’re gonna straighten them out one by one. And this is gonna be a major part for some of the people in this room. That’s a war too. It’s a war from within.”
684. Trump: “I told Pete, we should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military. National Guard, but our military. Because we’re going into Chicago very soon. That’s a big city with an incompetent governor. Stupid governor.”
685. Trump: “Portland, Oregon, where it looks like a war zone. I get a call from the liberal governor, ‘Sir, please don’t come in, we don’t need you.’ I said, unless they’re playing false tapes, this looks like World War 2.”
686. Trump: “They actually took over a big percentage of Seattle. Think of it. You remember that. It was a while ago. And I sent in the troops and they were gone as soon as I sent them in.”
687. Trump: History is filled with military heroes who took on foreign and domestic threats. We also have domestic. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, George Bush and others used the armed forces to keep domestic order and peace
688. Trump: “Last month, I signed an executive order to provide training for a quick reaction force that can help quell civil disturbances. This is gonna be a big thing for the people in this room, because it’s the enemy from within and we have to handle it before it gets out of control.”
689. Trump: “I’m very careful, you know, when I walk down stairs. … I walk very slowly. Nobody has to set a record. Just try not to fall because it doesn’t work out well. A few of our presidents have fallen, and it became a part of their legacy. We don’t want that.… You walk nice and easy. You’re not, you don’t have to set any record. Be cool. Be cool when you walk down. But don’t, don’t bop down the stairs. So one thing with Obama, I had zero respect for him as a father. But he would bop down those stairs, I’ve never seen, da-da, da-da, da-da, bop, bop, bop. He’d go down the stairs, wouldn’t hold on, I said it’s great, I don’t wanna do it. I guess I could do it, but eventually bad things are gonna happen, and it only takes once. But he did a lousy job as a president.”
690. Trump: “We’re bringing back a focus on fitness, ability, character, and strength, and that’s because the purpose of America’s military is not to protect anyone’s feelings, it’s to protect our republic.”
691. Trump: I cut down the price of insulin to $35. When I saw Biden take credit for $35 and even less, insulin, that was 1000% lower than where it was previous. I didn’t like it. They tried to take credit for it.
692. Karoline Leavitt: “While President Trump is signing a historic executive order to end childhood cancer, the Democrats are voting to shut down the government over giving free healthcare to illegals.”

Yeah, the most disheartening thing about 2024 wasn't that he won, but that the massive and instantaneous pushback from both the public and American institutions didn't materialize in 2024. At all. Where were all the millions of people who participated in the Women's Marches in November 2016?
