He's trying to create a copy of the Russian army, with a focus on savagery, overlooking war crimes and now lack of infosec which we recall early in their invasion of Ukraine resulted in lots of them getting shelled when they posted pics revealing where they were.

None of that indicates that Trump will be publicly visible. They could just be flying Marine One to Norfolk, and then just telling people he is at the Naval Station. In reality, he would be in a coma in his Medbed in the White House dungeon.

Murdering people because you suspect they are smugglers is a simple crime. Even pre-Trump the US did not have a great record for punishing war crimes, from massacring villagers in vietnam to shooting down Iranian airliners, to torturing and executing prisoners.

If you're changing war crimes to crimes... I'd say that that's fair enough. I just think that you might be missing some of the more immediately relevant crimes. The Russian Army is known to nigh systematically commit crimes against their own people. Rape as arbitrary punishment, mass corruption, high murder/suicides on base, and more... and that's before getting to their treatment of the women in the military. Hegseth green lit all of that in his speech.

The obvious answer to the incompetence of ICE in keeping public order and managing protests is to flood the city with more troops who don't know how to manage protests. Escalation is the tyrants choice.

This ratcheting up of the rhetoric is terrifying. Stephen Miller also posted on X:
"This is an organized terrorist attack on the federal government and its officers, and the deployment of troops is an absolute necessity to defend our personnel, our laws, our government, public order and the Republic itself." The judge that motivated this rant -- by issuing a restraining order blocking trump from deploying the National Guard to Portland -- was appointed by trump.

Miller's use of the terms "organized terrorist attack" is chilling because trump and Miller have previously said they have the right to use deadly force against terrorists. Is this part of the leadup to something unlike anything we have ever seen in this country? Where is this headed?

There is press. The out of town travel pool. Google AI: The pool system guarantees that media outlets always have access to cover the President when they are traveling, even when circumstances make it logistically difficult for the entire press corps to attend.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to find a link to an actual news story about this, but the word is Trump said he 'spoke to the President of Puerto Rico about Bad Bunny performing at the Superbowl'.
Now the question should be, just who did he talk to, if he talked to anyone at all obviously, is anyone even asking that?
(For those that don't know, Puerto Rico is a U.S. Territory and its President is one Donald J. Trump)
