Trump's Second Term

Donald has cancelled funding for Title X, created in 1970 by President Richard Nixon to ensure that low income women had access to birth control and family planning.

So release the files and let us see for ourselves!

JD Vance: "We know that Jeffrey Epstein had a lot connections with left-wing politicians and left-wing billionaires ... Democrat billionaires and Democrat political leaders went to Epstein island all the time. Who knows what they did."

JD approves of Gerrymandering

Vance: I didn't realize this until a couple of years ago, you know for apportioning representatives, you actually count illegal aliens. Even though they're not supposed to vote, they still sometimes do. California has way more house seats than it should.

I've been away on family time for about a week, so I'm skipping part of this thread. If I poke at something already poked, that was not my intention, but it probably deserved more poking, anyways.

I find myself wondering. Is this related at all?

Appeals court rules Trump clamp-down on spending data defies Congress’ authority
An order issued Saturday evening by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals panel gives the administration until Friday to restore the data online.

There's lots more examples of the Trump Administration's extreme anti-transparency actions, of course, though I suppose that all they're really reacting to is Epstein, probably. Speaking of Epstein -

Whether Trump killed Epstein, merely paved the way for others to do it, or had nothing to do with his death is difficult to solidly conclude based on the evidence at hand, sure, but we have every reason to distrust him.

Moving on,

...At one point during the family time, my heavily influenced by FOX Republican father suddenly made a "joke" unprompted that boiled down to "Republicans are just gerrymandering what those complaining Democrats gerrymandered." Nevermind that Republicans are much, much worse than Democrats on the gerrymandering front, both in number and severity, and that the current already absurdly extreme Texas gerrymander was done by Republicans. At another point, he also decided to try to push COVID/anti-vax disinformation based on serious omissions of relevant facts about what those numbers actually were for.

If that wasn't bad enough, there's plenty more there, as elaborated a bit more in Pete Hegseth retweets support for theocracy, denying women the vote, slavery and criminalizing gays. This is our government under Republican rule. **** those who delusionally thought that it would be fine.

I didn't kill Epstein, but I sure don't feel the need to call everyone and tell them I didn't. Neither do all the other people who didn't kill Epstein. But somebody sure does. Methinks he protests too much.

Companies that are building Donald's concentration camps will be thrilled. He will be moving homeless there as well now.

Going to nee bigger camps.

Who's next?

I think they were talking about that a while ago, except they were calling the internment camps for the homeless "treatment facilities" or something like that.

Okay, looks like just a few weeks ago.

And just for funsies Trump's Justice Department has been demanding voter rolls from various states. Mind you, you can download the rolls for a 20$ fee but this justice department wants the ones with drivers licenses and social security numbers.

Trump's solution to homelessness is not to fix it. Not to create the sort of "great again" successful nation where there isn't homelessness. No, it's to clear them off the streets and hide them away so he doesn't have to see poor people. Like some kind of stereotypical dictator.

Trump removed the official portraits of Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and George H.W. Bush from their place in the foyer, by tradition presidents keep the prior two portraits on display. Now it has a picture of Donald from his 'assassination attempt' fist aloft. His three predecessors are exiled to a back stairwel.

Donald is going to take over and remove the tents, squalor, filth, and Crime
He's gong to fix DC like he did the Border.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

The Press Conference on Crime and “Beautification” will be held tomorrow, at 10:00 A.M. EST, in the Press Briefing Room, and it will not only involve ending the Crime, Murder, and Death in our Nation’s Capital, but will also be about Cleanliness and the General Physical Renovation and Condition of our once beautiful and well maintained Capital.
We are not going to allow people to spend $3.1 Billion Dollars on fixing up a building, like the Federal Reserve, which could have been done in a far more elegant and time sensitive manner for $50 to $100 Million Dollars. The Renovation would have actually been better, and we would have saved $3 Billion Dollars, Traffic Jams, and never-ending Construction.
The Mayor of D.C., Muriel Bowser, is a good person who has tried, but she has been given many chances, and the Crime Numbers get worse, and the City only gets dirtier and less attractive. The American Public is not going to put up with it any longer.
Just like I took care of the Border, where you had ZERO Illegals coming across last month, from millions the year before, I will take care of our cherished Capital, and we will make it, truly, GREAT AGAIN!
Before the tents, squalor, filth, and Crime, it was the most beautiful Capital in the World. It will soon be that again. Thank you for your attention to this matter — See you tomorrow at 10 A.M.!

...You know, that's entirely plausible. Trump and the Republicans screwed up the border pretty horribly, after all, to the point where any "improvements" in the situation there likely have more to do with Trump and the Republicans making the US far less desirable to live and work in for US citizens, let alone everyone else, and parading that to the world as if it were somehow a positive thing. Insanely malicious, cruel, and dishonest leadership and government is not really something that sane people find attractive, for some odd reason. That, and/or screwing with the reported numbers, as they've long sought to do and are rather overtly trying to do now.

It's deeply pathetic. He's like a cheap movie villain, missing no act of pettiness to firmly establish he's the bad guy and utterly contemptible.
