Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

Here's some additional information:

This is the building on which was mounted both the security cam which took Frank Newgent's video (Angle 1) and the security cam which took the silent video that I posted (Angle 3).

The security cam which took the first video, Angle 1, is I think above the door of the Pawn shop here. I believe it is the black dot and so fairly well hidden, unless something else was intalled since this Google Street View image was taken two years prior, of course.

The security cam which took the silent video of the intersection that I posted, Angle 3, can seemingly be seen hanging below the building's eave here:

This appears to be the convenience store which had the cam from which I took the audio, Angle 5:

The cam can be better seen in this image:

The other cam which captured audio of the shooting seems to have been on a private residence and it was also farther away, so I'll skip that one.

Reportedly, a friend of Guerrero said that the Kia he was driving was registered to someone else, and that she suspected that the ICE agents were maybe looking for that individual. Here is that report:

The claimed witness who says that he heard Guerrero say "I tried to stop," which national and internial news agencies have been running with, apparently also had other things to say concerning the ICE agent who may have shot him. This witness's account also seems to have changed a bit from interview to interview, too, btw.

In one he didn't seem to be too sure as to what he believed he might have heard from Gurerro. In others he said he was certain as to what he heard.

...but in apparently multiple interviews he has also said he believes he spoke to the ICE agent who did the shooting and that the agent claimed at the time that the guy we know as Gurerrero tried to run into him.

Here is one:

Here is another interview on video (...and hopefully I transcribed this portion of the interview with Boucher correctly. Feel free to check me):

"The ICE agent that shot him walked right in front of me. ...and I.. ...course I had (emo..)? I was emotional and I just let him have it and he looked at me and he said 'he tried to run me over' or something to that effect. I don't remember his exact words. There was another ICE agent with him that was trying to comfort him and they walked away."

In one account he supposedly said to the ICE agent "This was awful" and in this other he says he let the ICE agent have it!

What kind of person would get after a law enforcement officer about a shooting if he wasn't able to see what happened leading up to the shooting?!

A biased one? A true believer in some sort of political cause perhaps? ...regardless, he still may have conveyed some important information, for he may have passed on the approximate on scene account of the ICE agent who did the shooting.

"comfort" is also an interesting word that he used there. Why would the ICE agent need to be comforted if he actually wanted to shoot people?

Your posts remind me of this...

There is one president who will be none too pleased about this. I'm surprised he would make this concession. Not that it will matter in the end since it will still be the victim's reckless actions at fault.

The first step in throwing him under the bus.

You too can become an ice hole!

State and federal officials said they are investigating after a group of masked men impersonating Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents pulled over and assaulted a migrant in Oregon.

The incident, the latest in a string of crimes committed by alleged ICE impersonators, took place between 3:30 and 5 p.m. on July 17 near Woodburn in Clackamas County, south of Portland.

The encounter began when the driver saw an SUV behind them turn on red and blue emergency-style lights and pulled into a turnout.

“Two men exited the suspect vehicle, one of whom was armed with a rifle,” Oregon State Police said in a statement. “The suspects identified themselves as ‘ICE’ and told the victim they were being detained. The victim was forcibly removed from their vehicle, searched, and placed into the back seat of the suspects' vehicle.”

Inside, a third individual assaulted the driver, police said. The victim was released about 20 minutes later.

Is this some Aryan thing? The article didn't mention anything about robbery. Curious the motive.

Well I guess you adopt the disguise that produces the most fear and submission.
The motive was to enjoy scaring the ◊◊◊◊ out of some poor guy and beating him up.

Run by Amentum Services on a no-bid multi-billion-dollar contract. This is what happens when you prioritize profits over people. And they're getting rewarded for it.

Thanks for this. I thought I had heard that name before and sure enough Amentum was a small part of an infrastructure etf I have an investment in. I sold it off just now and let both the etf manager and the company's investor relations know that I divested because of Amentum's involvement in egregious human rights violations.

Won't make a difference of course but I like to sleep at night.

for some people deportation means death. They have a real reason to seek asylum.

Missouri Couple Found Tied Up and Shot Dead After ICE Deportation

The couple’s 14-month-old daughter* was found crying near their bodies.

*A US citizen by birth.

These weren't criminals, they were working to support their family.

Great, apparently they're surveilling protestors too. I wonder how much oversight they have. From the article, it doesn't sound like much.

Senate Report Questions ICE Data Collection Practices

A report from Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., alleges ICE collects, retains, and shares information gathered during immigration enforcement operations and protests, raising concerns about privacy and potential effects on First Amendment-protected activity.
---------------------------------------
“But there is evidence that protesters have been tracked, and agents and officers have photographed protesters and compiled intelligence reports about them,” the report states.

According to the report, Lyons’ letter says ICE collects information under two separate legal authorities rather than maintaining a single domestic terrorism database.
