Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

Wired gets onto this.

Identifying some masked ICE agents who had attacked US citizens.

I think he doesn't understand the difference between millions and billions. I hope he isn't responsible for any budgets!
And he doesn't understand the difference between Somali immigrants and the white Republican lady who was the one actually caught and prosecuted for the fraud in Minnesota. The Trump regime doesn't need budgets. They have their slush funds and private donors.

It's not that he doesn't understand, it's that he doesn't care.
This, more or less. I'm sure he understands the difference between billions and millions, and the difference between imagined criminals and fictitious ones, and I bet he even understands the difference between lies and truth. Not caring is one way to say it, perhaps, but I think what makes him truly dangerous is that what he does not understand, and never will, is why he should not lie.

You don't say . . .

Newly Obtained Video of Minneapolis Shooting Undermines ICE Account

Prosecutors did not watch video of the nonfatal shooting until weeks after charging the wounded man, an official said.
Almost immediately after an immigration agent shot and wounded a Venezuelan immigrant in Minneapolis this winter, the federal government cast the injured man as an attempted murderer and the agent as the victim of a brutal beating.

That version of events began unraveling when prosecutors dropped felony charges against the injured man, Julio C. Sosa-Celis, and one of his housemates, Alfredo A. Aljorna, who had fled from immigration agents.

Yet video footage of the shooting, newly obtained by The New York Times, raises questions about why it took weeks for the government’s case to fall apart.

The video contradicts the agent’s claim that three assailants had beaten him with a shovel and broom for roughly three minutes before he opened fire. Instead, the confrontation depicted in the video lasts about 12 seconds and shows two men struggling with the agent. It shows no sustained attack with a shovel.

Mullin: I believe sanctuary cities is not lawful. Some of these cities have international airports. If they are a sanctuary city, should they really be processing customs into their city? We need to have a really hard look at that.

Baier: So you are saying that big cities that are sanctuary cities that have a big airport, they might lose their customs?

Mullin: I'm going to be forced to make tough decisions.

Can't get more lawful than the Constitution.

And all those international airlines will be looking very hard back at him. The city is irrelevant. If airlines can't drop off their international passengers for ticketed flights for lack of CBP staffing, he may find that extortion is not the flex he thinks it is. Did you see how fast Congress acted when Delta dropped their privileges?

Her voice was barely audible; shoulders slumped, eyes fixed on the floor. Sitting at her brother’s bedside, she looked as if she wanted to disappear. The light caught the sheen of dried tears on her cheeks. She clasped one hand over the other, twisting a ring that had slipped loose during the long night. What she said was simple, but I knew what it meant: fear had already cost him hours he could not afford to lose. And now he was in the ICU.
When the transport stretcher rolled him into the unit, his body was a storm. BP collapsing, oxygen slipping, skin clammy. The monitor blared as we scrambled: fluids forced through IV tubing, pressors pushed into his veins, the sharp sting of antiseptic on my gloves as I methodically placed a central line. Minutes later, the ventilator was doing the work his lungs could not. The hiss filled the room—steady, mechanical, almost indifferent—while his sister’s hands twisted in her lap, her fear more palpable than the alarms.
He lived. But we knew he should never have come that close to dying.
Later, when the unit had quieted and his vital signs finally steadied, I kept replaying her words: “We didn’t know what would happen if we called for help.” She said it once, then again. She did not need to say it a third time. It lingered in the air, heavy and unspoken. She was not talking about sepsis or infection. She was talking about immigration enforcement; about the possibility that the call to save her brother’s life could also end the life they knew in this country.

Armed masked man starts fight at high school ICE protest—turns out to be off duty police sergeant.

His plan was to trick students to "assault me"—then "arrest them all."

Then called his buddies with rifles to "back him up."

Sgt. Dusten Mullen makes $336,000 a year—making him a top 10 earner in the Phoenix Police Department.

He is currently on administrative leave—which means he's reassigned to work from home.

It looks like the same strategy as in the Straits of Hormuz.
