Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

I was just thinking about the bloody "night of the long knives" when Hitler sent in his SS, SD and Gestapo to purge the SA, as he saw their penchant for street violence as a threat to his growing power.

I can't think what it was that put me in mind of it.
To be fair the night of the long knives was Hitler putting down a challenge to his power. This is more like Himmler and Rohm having a bunfight.

Fair. I expect the ICE leaders removed are not likely to be shot, either. <pause> No, really, that's not on the cards.

The parallel which amused me was that Hitler saw the SA's violent, loutish behaviour on the streets ceasing to be useful and becoming an embarrassing problem instead.

So if we see Trump’s handlers curb ICE, we should afraid, very afraid …
Exactly.

And this digression began when W.D.Clinger posted:
"The Denver Gazette reported that "The Trump administration has begun to purge Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in offices in five major U.S. cities and fill some of those top posts with senior Border Patrol agents, who will take over interior immigration enforcement in those regions..."

An ICE agent points his gun at unarmed citizens. Twice.

Then, he goes around the SUV, drops to his knees, and presses his full weight onto a man’s back. Moments later, that same man’s head is beaten into the pavement while the agent holds his head down.

When they finally pull him up, his face is swollen and dazed… clearly concussed… and then they slam his head into the SUV and pin it there with their shoulder.

You can’t watch this and call it law enforcement. This is excessive force and criminal assault.

Have we all forgotten Trump's words: Please don't be too nice.'... When you guys put somebody in the car and you're protecting their head you know, the way you put their hand over? Like, 'Don't hit their head and they've just killed somebody, don't hit their head.' I said, 'You can take the hand away, OK?

Remember that ICE only goes after the criminals...

This is what you inevitably get when you promise total immunity to the kind of scum who have dreamed all their lives to be part of death squadrons …
And it's a feature, not a bug, in order to terrorise the population.

And terrorized they should be, if they're going to mindlessly gobble up propaganda like this.

For some reason the video is edit to omit the part where an "unarmed citizen" opened the door of the SUV to allow the person inside to escape and refused to back off once their dastardly plan was foiled. Why did they clip that bit off I wonder.

A thinking person may wonder why that red sedan is crunched up against that SUV. Most read enders are caused by aggressive tailgating however someone who's a victim of propaganda might leap to the conclusion that the SUV threw it into reverse and rammed the car. A few minutes on the Google will show that no eye witness were claiming this reverse ramming took place so.... aggressive and unsafe tailgating it was.

During that same Google search one might come across more videos showing out young hero, the lad taking punches to the head, violently resisting arrest. I don't know where your from, one of those places where if a suspect really really REALLY doesn't want to be arrested they just let him go but around here, that tactic doesn't work. Our young hero got his fight and due to his of ignorance of how things work in the real world, he lost. Then to make matters word, when he was on the ground with the cuffs on, he grabbed the arresting officer by the crotch (sexual assault) hence the punches to the head.

In the end we have a video worthy of r/publicfreakout, nothing more.

Now I get that these white middle aged progressives have none to little contact with the police before and are probably convinced that their self righteousness will serve as some sort of a shield and they'll get many, many IRL and online asspats for their actions but there's some real world facts that they need to learn.

Don't ever, under any circumstances, touch a law enforcement officer especially during a tense situation. No taps on the shoulder, no gentle hands on the arm. They will take you down.
If you want to fight the police, they will win. They have to, they're trained to do so. You may get some interesting footage out of it but it's going to come at a cost. The time to fight the police is in count, not on the street. You may not like it, but don't say I didn't warn you.

So now what else:

That video where the "elderly" woman gets choked? She touched a cop. See what I mean?
That video where the girl shouts out "I'm 15"? She claims she never identified herself as a minor. That was made up for dramatic effect by whoever posted the video.

Quite often it's easy to find these annoying details by simply reading the thread attached to the post that's been copied and pasted to your screen. It's actually kind of fun, in a skeptical sort of way.

I'm afraid that the above doesn't convey the reassuring message you're expecting me to get.…

Don't forget Border Control Thug Greg Bovino's advice: "Don't want to get pepper-balled, don't protest." So don't be gaslit by this corrupt administration or its credulous/cynical apologists. They care nothing for your freedoms

Don't be fooled by the dog-killer Kristi Noem when she says no U.S. citizens have been arrested, she's lying. When she says no children have been zip-tied, that's a lie. That they're only arresting the "worst of the worst," that's a lie.

That is what the administration has been doing since the inauguration: Lying. It is their stock and trade and one can easily see how greedily the cultists have lapped it up.

So much better to stand there and do nothing while goons, masked to hide their identities and avoid future prosecutions, kidnap the guy fixing the neighbor´s roof.

Yeah, I'm glad I don't live in a country where you need to be super-careful around police lest you risk being subjected to excessive physical force, arrested for no reason, strangled/shot, or for that matter sent to a black site or concentration camp. Where I'm from they're trained for de-escalation and using force when neccessary, and they're held accountable for their actions. Also none of the officers patrolling the streets wear masks and tactical gear for no good reason.

Yeah, I'm glad I don't live in a country where you need to be super-careful around police lest you risk being subjected to excessive physical force
I've had the regretful experience of things going the wrong way, but to be fair, also the opposite. Many of these ice cowards are using any excuse to get physical with protesters. "Don't want to get pepper-balled, don't protest" is the mantra of these ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊; can you imagine someone in a democratic administration uttering those words? They'd be crucified, but no, it's just policy now and the Trump cultists and apologists just go along with it.

This is where we're at.

Another "resisting arrest" acquitted.

I’m a law-abiding citizen who never thought I’d be of such interest that the U.S. government would use my tax dollars and yours to try to send me to prison, but there I was in Washington, D.C., at the end of July being manhandled by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent trying to remove my phone from my hand.
And there I was in court last month being tried — and quickly acquitted by a jury of my peers — on the false charge that I’d “forcefully pushed” an FBI agent’s hand against a cement wall and “caused lacerations.” All I’d done that night in July was stand outside the D.C. jail so the families of the men being detained for possible deportation would know what had happened to them. I wanted those men and their families to be treated fairly in this unjust time we are living in.

But as he threw me against a wall and handcuffed me, the agent who arrested me said, If you just minded your own f---ing business, this wouldn’t happen.

If I had minded my own business. Observing and recording what my government does — which is what I was doing when I got arrested — is my business.

Here’s what sticks out about my experience: being put in the back of an unmarked SUV and with handcuffs that were put on so tight, I have permanently lost feeling in my thumb; not being read my rights or being told what I was being charged with beyond not minding my business.
Read the rest to see how hard they pursued this person for not "minding their own business."

it’s where we’ve been at for years, there’s no depths they won’t sink to either

They know they won't get a conviction. The goal is to terrorize people. They want to scare others out of protesting. And they don't care how much of your life they destroy, or how much taxpayer money is wasted on these actions.

This person and others are fortunate that, unlike the Nazis, Schitler and his goons don't have complete control of the courts. Yet.
