Kevin McCarthy has realized his effort to keep Republicans off the House's committee to investigate the causes of the Jan 6 insurrection didn't work so he now plans to appoint some to it. Naturally, they will not be there in good faith; they will be there to defend Trump, Mo Brooks, etc. and to obstruct the investigation. My bet's on Johnson, Gosar, Meadows and others of their ilk. I wouldn't be surprised to see MTG there, either. What a farce.

I thought Pelosi retained control/veto power over who was on the committee?

Their stupid apologetics don't even raise to that level. It's more of "Your Honor I don't want to talk about my client's murdering a dozen small children, because I just learned one member of the jury is double parked."

I disagree. I think McCarthy will prefer a quieter way of sabotaging the comittee .Apointing the likes of MTG and Gosar is a bit too obivious.

As stated, I don't think McCarthy would ever have appointed the high profile jackasses to the comitee. He is too smart for that. Better appoint lower profile members who are not open jackasses who can quietly sabotage the commitee
You don't want to be too obviious about it.

McCarthy isn't what I would describe as 'smart', but we shall just have to wait and see. Time reveals all.

No, it's not comical at all. When was the last time you saw the "left" trying to subvert an election and claim it was "stolen" due to voter fraud? Or trying to get a defeated candidate back into office because s/he's the "real" winner? Or calling an obviously violent attack where people died a "peaceful protest"? Give me a break. This is just more justification for the right's having gone full nuts extreme by attempting the "but the Left does it, too" crap.

Notice she is leaving it up to the House Administration Committee where Hart took her complaint.

Pelosi chose to seat Miller-Meeks despite the fact that the seat could have been left open. But, yeah...she's trying to overturn the election.:rolleyes:

Oh, by the way, I need actual examples of Dems trying to overturn a legitimate election by claiming fraud because you haven't yet.
