I was going to disagree by bring up his selfishness, but then I realized you are completely right.
Every time Trump tried to convince his followers of something, his only tools were racism, xenophobia, and disinformation.

And, looks like the state of Georgia has opened up an investigation into Trump's attempts to overturn the election...

The office of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger confirmed to CNN on Monday that it has started an investigation into former President Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the state's election results...

I am glad (even a little pleasantly surprised) that something is being done. Although I wonder if its a serious inquiry, or one of these cases where "someone complained, we are supposed to investigate it but we won't look very hard".

I suspect Raffensperger would quite like to see Trump in prison, so I imagine it will be a legit investigation.

On Thursday, March 4 the Trump Loyalists will go to DC and rightfully take control of the federal government.

They expect a swearing-in ceremony and executions (most likely hanging). It is not yet clear which of those will occur first.

I expect there will be a lot of swearing and possibly executions for those who get convicted if it gets out of hand, although I doubt Biden will continue to use the death penalty.

It will actually be that Antifa group doing their false flag thing again. They have infiltrated everywhere, and can imitate Trumpistas to perfection. Bubba has admitted this.
 
I keep hearing this protest being described as a 'Coup' in elements of the US media.

And they have a point. After all, heavily armed protesters over-ran the capital building taking lawmakers hostage, also occupying the national TV stations, local military barracks, the FBI building, the Federal Reserve building, and directly taking hold of the levers of power.

Oh.. wait.. no.. that was Myanmar. Now THAT was a coup. What happened in Washington was a Rabble.

Honestly these lawsuits should be of great interest to people that genuinely think the election might have been stolen. In a court case, the evidence and arguments are very public, and the defendants have a chance to make their case very openly--even if a hypothetically corrupt judge or hypothetically paid off jury ignores it, it's out there for everyone to find out about.

REAL election thieves would disappear into the woodwork once successful. The last thing they would want is to shine a light on what happened.

Of course, that presumes rational thinking on the part of the conspiracy theorists.

Protesters in Myanmar haven’t done anything. The government employed the military to arrest the opposition. Now THAT was a coup. Try to keep up my man.

Indeed. My point was that once Dominion and Smartmatic had instigated legal proceedings against FOX - if the management of FOX neglected to stop disseminating the defamation, then that might be considered an exacerbating factor - and the shareholders of FOX might *also* have a case against the management for being negligent with their investment. (You can probably tell that IANAL - not even in the UK).
