I've been wondering about the contingent that seemed more prepared to get nasty, but didn't. Were they waiting for a signal that didn't come, or was aborted? Were they just over-preppers that wanted to be ready for anything? Or did they have second thoughts when the reality hit them?

I think they might have been expecting the police to join them or Trump to declare martial law and real troops to support their cause. When it became apparent the police would resist and they were being reinforced, the enemy didn't go full civil war.

From what I understood of Popehat's appearance on All the President's Lawyers, that sounds like he could be looking at felony murder whether the cop he beat was the one who died or not.

While I agree with what you say, intelligence is also a factor with a lot of these people. Have you listened to some of these people? They can say some of the most stupid things I've ever heard and it's not because they were sold on something. It's because they're just dumb. For example, confirmed by Snopes:

Pardon my ignorance, but don't women only start with the hot flushes when they reach the menopause? So they would be OK as president up to then? At which point you invoke article 25 or whatever?

Obama allegedly takes off his wedding ring during Ramadan, a clear indication that he is a Muslim because there is a prohibition on wearing jewellery during Ramadan.

There are only two flaws in that logic:

- Obama doesn't take of his wedding ring during Ramadan
- There is no such prohibition

Those two small details aside, the reasoning is flawless :rolleyes:

Yes and no. Yes, hot flushes are a symptom of the menopause in some women. No, they don't cause us to start wars. They're just slightly annoying.

A sudden surge of testosterone, OTOH ...
