The thing with Poe's law is that just because parodies of extreme views may be taken seriously by some does not mean that there aren't extreme views. In fact, this may be the anti-Poe: an extreme view mistaken as parody.

No, don't get me wrong. Trump is a horrible human being. In brief clips he is hilarious. Anything longer you want to punch the prick in the face. Great for a short skit but you couldn't take a whole movie of Trump.

In Trump-speak, "I heard" or "Some people are saying," is code for: "I'm completely making this up."

I said the same exact thing before the primaries/Republican debates and yet here we are.

I refuse to make any further predictions about Trump. His behavior is too random and nothing he says that would have destroyed a candidate even 5 years ago seems to make any dent on his dedicated followers.

What's interesting is I thought that Romney had a good shot at winning. The guy was a successful business man. He was photogenic, well spoken, straight out of central casting. But their base doesn't want that. They want totally unhinged.
