A "council" is a grouping of people. A "counsel" is an advisor or, more commonly, an attorney (the word can also be used for the advice such a person might offer).

Yes, the obvious typo is very important.

I think this is the beginning of the end. It seems some Republicans are on tape saying they think Putin pays Trump.

I didn't say it was very important. I did think it was worth pointing out since it is possible to appoint both a "council" and a "counsel," and since the person who made the error in their post for some reason didn't provide a link for context...

Firing Comey may turn out to be the worst mistake of Trump's life.

This thing is getting ugly. I just watched Lawrence O'Donnell discuss Comey's memo and how the practice of writing a memo about an important conversation as soon as possible after is commonplace in Washington and how Trump’s ignorance of both government and law enforcement may end his Presidency.

He compares the substance of that memo to a discussion between Nixon and his Chief of Staff Haldeman committing obstruction and why this the same thing and grounds for Impeachment.

Trump's?

I'd like to point out that no black people have been implicated in any of this so far. It's all whitebread.

...I'm surprised at the degree to which [Paul Ryan]'s hitched his wagon to Trump. I though he'd been in the Graham group trying to create space while still advancing their own agenda through Trump.
Maybe he's complicit in Russia shenanigans too.

Yeah. While it's not the only possibility, bailing water from a sinking boat is behavior one could reasonably expect from a person that is in that sinking boat.
