If he actually does it it would be the first time he's done his job as the chair of the committee since Trump was inaugurated.

I know this is already outdated but I thought this comment deserved to be shared:

Hopefully your Subpoena Pen isn't next to your Moral Compass.

In other words, things returned to normal and people voted with their (stagflation) pocketbooks.
Haven't heard that term in many years. I doubt I would describe it like that. This may sound snobbish but I don't think much of the average voter. Even though I believe very much in democracy. Only a small percentage of voters are informed about the candidates. It's more gut then anything. I'm convinced elections tend to be more about personality than anything else.
"If you resign now, I'll give you a pardon." This is similar to letting a dictator go live in France or somewhere in exchange for leaving peacefully. What a terrible analogy.
Actually I think it is a very good one.

I long for the days when blurting out classified info to our adversary in the oval office was the worst thing the president could do.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

This is satire... I think.

Trump did not murder teenage prostitute, says White House spokesman without being asked

Journalists in the White House press pool have been left confused by several statements denying the President committed crimes no one has yet accused him of.

The strongly worded rebuttal was issued after a journalist asked the national security advisor about what kind of records were kept during recent meetings with Russian officials.

Seasoned political observers have speculated that the recent flurry of odd denials might be due to an intern distributing the ‘Pending’ press releases to Trump Administration officials.

Trump is like Kennedy (except with a hotter wife): they're too good for this world. Please don't go to Dallas, Mr. President.

O'Donnell is telling everyone in the WH to lawyer up. 40 people in the Nixon WH went to jail. (Actually they didn't all do time but still.)

His guest says it's too late.

Joy Reid pointed out Comey had absolutely no one he could go to with the info of Trump's obstructionism at the time, from the DoJ to Congress, they were all Trump people.

It seems that by striking him down, Trump has made Comey more powerful than he could have possibly imagined.

Comey's certainly popular. The Senate Oversight Committee, The Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Intelligence Committee are all asking Comey to testify and they want to see the memos.

And there are two parallel committees in the House, one of which whose head member, Nunes, is also going to end up caught in this web. It's is being suggested that his bizarre late night jaunt to the WH may not have been to parrot fake information as much as it was to share what he knew about the FBI campaign investigation with Trump.

Yet I am betting you this will soon be downplayed by the GOP, then in 2 month only a few of the dedicated (like this forum) will ever remember and trump will still be in. Wanna bet ?

I saw this on a FB post:

Press: Trump just pooped on a table at a restaurant in NY.
White House: That is just fake news.
Trump: I pooped on a table at a restaurant in NYC, it was wonderful.
White House: Anywhere the President poops is a toilet.

So apparently Jeff Sessions tried to stay in the room but Trump wouldn't let him. Wonder why.

That's interesting. Just was listening to NPR (Kai Ryssdal I think) where an FBI corruption specialist in CA said Comey broke protocol by not going to McCabe if he had suspicions that strong that Trump was trying to obstruct.

Hard to say, Google fight isn't working when I try to fight 'leaks' vs 'memo' or leaks vs a few other words I tried.:p

On the one hand, I can see the news climaxing on the current scandals without any real change occurring. But on the other hand, do you really think this is the last of Trump's faux pas? Because I don't.

Personally I'm happy with a steady diet of incompetence and mental disorder until the 2018 elections as long as we don't have a major military conflict to deal with.

Trump supporters got what they paid for.

How do we know that McCabe wasn't one of the people in FBI that Comey shared the memo with?

We don't. I asked myself that same question aloud as I heard the guy talking. I guess my point is the GOP has their work cut out for them and any potentially legitimate angle they can work will be used - this being one of them.

The comment about that option on O'Donnell was that we see now, "McCabe is a yes man."

Barring a smoking gun and a dead teenage prostitute under the desk of as naked Trump, I doubt anything major will happen (and even then knowing the GOP they will "pardon" him after a "tearful" confession). I could be dead wrong but I think that they will have in "managed" so that he may do blunder after blunder, but nothing major putting the US in anything beyond an embarrassing position.

Trump supporters got what they paid for.

That was clear from the get go.

If Comey thought that McCabe was someone who couldn't be trusted, why did he appoint him as Deputy Director?
