Trump 2.0 won't be as bad as they say

idk it just doesn't seem like important enough of a point to be belaboring over and over. but if it annoys you, fair enough, i can understand that.

It gets reall frustarting in discussion of the Mideast. The threads at this site on the topic have become two bunches of idiots shouting at each other, as the saying goes.

Ithink I have made it clear I cosnider, at least in the US the right to be a far, far,far greater threat.
Is is just the refusal of some to admit evil can exist on the left I find annoyning.
THat list you link to is a good example.

No one has refused to admit anything.

The fact that five out of seven of your fantasy list are directed at non-Caucasians and the LGBTQ community is quite revealing. One might infer there's some racism and bigotry involved.

The use of "fascist liberal" reveals an ignorance of what "fascist" means and what "liberal" mean. You might want to do a little research and look up the definition of both terms. Oh, who am I kidding? You won't so I'll do it for you:

Fascism: "A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls, violent suppression of the opposition, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism."

Hmmm...sounds a lot like what Trump and is supporters advocate.

Liberalism: "A political theory founded on the natural goodness of humans and the autonomy of the individual and favoring civil and political liberties, government by law with the consent of the governed, and protection from arbitrary authority."

I am not so sure about the Natural Goodness of Man bit. Other wise I guess I am a liberal. Also note that defintion dodges economic issues.

Not in so many words.]But if you point out stupidity on the left, some people around here get outraged.

There is stupidity on the left. There are instances of violence from the left against political opponents. I don't think the dominant philosophies of the far left and the far right are comparable though. And I do not see nearly comparable incidence of left violence as the right violence we've seen in this country. Conveniently some people want to start keeping score since the Trump era when tensions are high all around.

Sure there is stupidity on the left. But this post is BS piled high.

I'm against violence. PERIOD FULL STOP. I don't give a damn who does it. I'll speak out against anyone who supports violence. Anyone. The fact is Trump not only supports violence, he encourages it. He called January 6th a day of love.

The Peterson Institute for International Economics has issued its best estimate of what the effects of Trump's purported policies will be on the US economy.

We focus on immigration policy, trade, and erosion of the Federal Reserve Board’s political independence. Each policy has differing macroeconomic and sectoral impacts on the United Statesand other countries. We find, however, that all the policies examined cause a decline in US production and employment, especially in trade-exposed sectors such as manufacturing and agriculture, as well as higher US inflation.
Scenarios combining individual policies show that the changes cause a large inflationary impulse and a significant loss of employment (particularly in manufacturingand agriculture) in the US economy

This is why if Trump wins I think I will make some significant changes to where my retirement investments are. The Harvard Business Review has an article about how populism is bad for the economy. They let you look at one free article/month I believe otherwise it is behind a paywall.
