Shhh - you'll give Ion and Demon ideas...The Central Scrutinizer said:And besides, it could be discovered that martians took over the bodies of Ohio voters and then had them hack into the machines to tilt the election to Bush. Because they were afraid that if Kerry was elected, he would use the US death ray gun against Mars. Or something like that.
BPSCG said:Though that won't be the end of the discussion - people are still claiming Bush stole the 2000 election.
I'm certain that you are making that statement without actually knowing the facts. Let me entertain you:People are still claiming Bush stole the 2000 election.

In Florida in 2000, before the Supreme Court interceded in the election outcome, there was no statewide recount conducted. A coalition of newspapers later analyzed the vote, in essence, doing their own recount. They found Al Gore had won.
I think you are confusing two words:The Central Scrutinizer said:

Might as well close the Transition Forum while we're at it...corplinx said:Mods, its time to shut this forum down. The election is over. All we have now is a bit of conspiracy stuff going on.

The Central Scrutinizer said:I'll second that. Because technically he isn't president again until then.

Got to agree with shutting down the election forum after the elections.

(I know it's hard, so concentrate -------)
The US Constitution says that the "elections" are over when all the Electoral College representatives have completed their voting (and technically, not until the reading of their results in Congress by the President of the Senate, the VP of the USA)
That happens in JANUARY ... so take a chill pill and have a nice Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years and then it will be OK to conclude that these "elections are over". Sheesh.
Constitution of the United States. You know, that old document/treasure map?!
US Constitution; the actual physical embodiment of Nationhood & Democracy we're sending soldiers to die in Iraq defending.
Article II, Section 1
I have no doubt that the commentary here which preceeded Nov 2nd was of marginal influence also!else you might know that from this point on, no amount of commentary from us is going to affect the electoral college, or the outcome of the election
So, why wait? Go jump on my case in The Real Nature of MidEast Politics forum. Have fun...I can't wait to see how you reveal the depths of your lack of other knowledge
