Thermitic Pyrotechnics in the WTC Made Simple

None of the four PhD scientists who peer reviewed his paper are his followers.

Jones is the the lead author, either, he is the third author, so you are barking up the wrong tree.

Tell us about these four PhD scientists. Who are they? I notice that you keep avoiding this question, among others.

Truthers have been blathering about this "discovery" for a while now. And yet as of this morning, I see no mention of it in the MSM, nor do I see any mention of any formal proceedings taking place to re-investigate 9/11, populist or otherwise.

Galileo, when do anticipate this verifiable discovery of explosives will have any sort of real-world impact?

Checked the evening news again tonight. A lot of talk about the Craig's List murderer and the closing of GM plants, but no one mentions the evidence of explosives found at WTC, or the subsequent investigations and riots in the streets such startling news would surely provoke.

Why is the Truth Movement keeping a secret their evidence that 9/11 was an inside job?

I have to conclude that they know what an independent analysis will show. It's obvious that Galileo realizes that his game is over.

Red paint was mixed with nano-thermite, and sprayed onto the core columns of the WTC during the suspicious power downs.

Bull Hockey!
Speaking of suspicious, do you find this odd, in NY city? A city of 8+ million people. Where you can spit, and be guaranteed to hit a "photographer".
Yet NO ONE took a picture of this!
PLEASE...
Power down, my buttocks!

The thermite has been found, the real question is to figure out how it got in there.

You forgot that Hoffman says this is hypothetical, the title was:

"A Hypothetical Blasting Scenario"

If you can prove Hoffman's theory wrong, then please PM me. Hoffman is not making a claim that his theory is proven por even probable, only that it is possible and plausible.

Otherwise, please stay on topic.

Hoffman writes on his site:

"Ignition of the incendiaries and detonation of the explosives is controlled through a wireless network using RF repeaters on every floor of the Towers having pyrotechnics.

Each of the Stage-2 pyrotechnics units -- the kicker charges and explosive sheets -- has an integrated wireless detonator card that includes a 2-channel RF receiver, an accelerometer, logic, dual wafer batteries, and a micro-detonator. The card is cemented onto the surface of the pyrotechnic's thermitic material so that the detonator is in contact with the material.

Similar electronics packages with high-temperature igniters are designed to adhere to the surface of the incendiary coating.

The detonator cards are programmed to respond only to RF signals on the network's broadcast frequencies that have specific codes. The cards are manufactured in batches of cards with identical codes, where each batch has a unique code and is destined for a specific floor of one of the Towers.

Of a detonator card's two channels, one provides the arm signal, and the other provides a detonation signal. Once the arm signal has been received, the detonator will be triggered by either of two events: rapid acceleration detected by the accelerometer, or receipt of the detonation signal.

The detonators are under the wireless control of the RF repeators located on most floors. The repeaters are redundantly controlled from an operations center located a safe distance from the Twin Towers via both high-power directional wireless and an encrypted ethernet channel. The repeaters all broadcast the same signals with ample power to be easily detected by all the detonator receivers on the same floor as well as by most on nearby floors ... " and so on.

1) If it is physically possible or plausible it should be testable.

2) He seems to clearly know what's possible and what to do, he should test some of these contraptions.

3) Why doesn't he abandon the stormy seas of hypothesis and conjecture and land on the solid shores of experiment and facts?

4) At least these experiments would quantify the amounts and installation details of this hypothesis.

They mixed the red paint with thermite and then they mixed the maroon paint with uber-thermite.
Brilliant, just brilliant!

Unfortunately with that superb statement you've let your mask slip - I salute you. You did indeed have a quality run.

Could you give us an indication of what, say, a teal green paint might contain? I look forward to your answer.

Poe would be proud.

They're obviously waiting on a few JREFers to take the offer of amnesty and switch sides. Once again, those mean ol' JREF debunkers derail the entire 9/11 troofy troof train.

No, this thread is focused on the elementry science of the thermite finds.

It will not be bogged down by conspiracy theories. It will focus only on what the scientists found, and the science behind it.

Galileo
Really, do you believe Hoffman's partial list for the nanothermitic materials required for both Towers:

... " 20"x20"x3/4" ceiling tile with embedded thin-film explosive and 2-channel wireless micro-detonator 1,000,000
12"x12"x3/4" ceiling tile with embedded thin-film explosive and 2-channel wireless micro-detonator 800,000 ...."

Say it out loud - one meeelion atehondred zousand seeeling tiles and wireless micro-detonators ... to go, please.

1) "Hello RadioShack?, may I speak to Bill?..... Hi Bill, my onemeeelionatehondredzousand wireless detonators in yet?

2) "Where do you want these 1,100 truckloads of onemeeeeeeelionatehondredzousand embedded thin film explosive celing tiles delivered to."

3) " ... onemeeeelionninetininezousandninetyone detonators of thermite to mount on ceiling tile on the wall , onemeeeelionninetininezousandnetyone detonators of thermite, you take one down and pass it around onemeeeeelionninetininezousand
ninety detonators to mount on celing tile on the wall..."

3) "Ummm ... sorry, don't see your name on this contractor's list .... who told you to install
onemeeeelioateeighthundredthousand ceiling tiles? .... Leri Seeelversteen ?"

They didn't find any thermite either. They found red paint. Jones could clear up the confusion in a few days by submitting his "evidence" to an independent lab. Why do you think he will never do this?

As I understood the discussions, he tried it but got no response.

Thermite can cut through steel and take down the towers.

There has never been a demonstration of thermite cutting through vertical steel members, so your statement is pure speculation.

The peer reviewerers already covered this before it was published.

Again, this is speculation; however, the fact that these issues are unresolved in the published version of the paper is rather convincing evidence that they did not. You can't keep handwaving away glaring shortcomings in the methodology by saying "The peer reviewers passed it, so it must be okay", without examining the premise that the peer review was competently performed. In that respect, therefore, a discussion of the peer review standards is entirely relevant to the discussion of the scientific merit of the paper. In this instance, the paper's demonstrable lack of scientific merit is evidence of incompetent peer review.

Actually, they are not. It has been over 7 years since 9/11. If what you say is true, a scientist would have published a paper on that by now.

There have been several papers published and peer reviewed that demonstrated that the collapse of the towers was expected to follow from the impact damage and fires. By your arguments, those papers should also be accepted in full as completely correct, as they have been peer reviewed. We could therefore conclude, if that were a rational viewpoint, that any thermitic material found in the debris cannot have contributed to the collapses, because peer reviewed papers have been published that conclude that it did not.

Your choice, Galileo. Continue to claim that peer reviewed papers are infallible, in which case you have to accept Bazant's conclusion that the towers collapsed due to fire and impact damage alone. Or accept that peer reviewed papers can contain errors, in which case you can't carry on playing the "it's peer reviewed so you can't argue with it" card.

This is worth noting, because if Galileo wants to get into a "my peer reviewers are better than your peer reviewers" contest, he is setting himself up for bitter disappointment.

This is the hallmark of a CTists thought process. What contradicts your theory, where possible, incorporate into your theory.

funny more than pathetic.

Take the time to explain why the team of frauds will never submit their amazing "discovery" to an independent lab for confirmation.

I don't know, did NIST ever allow independent researchers access to their computer modeling software for confirmation on their "collapse" of the WTC towers?

What's that? No they didn't? Why not?

To all you lurkers out there...

Can you find all the tactics used on this thread against Galileo's?

38 ways to win an argument

Or from ...

How to debunk just about anything

See how many of those you can find in all the responses on this thread. Once you have gotten all that chaf out of the way then you can get down to really seeing this discussion.

*Note: I am not supposed to point out these tactics, as it angers them to not be able to use them with impunity.

As for the paper that Galileo linked to, it is a nicely written summary of some of the key facts from the Harrit Thermitic materials paper. Take the time to read it.

Take the time to explain why the team of frauds will never submit their amazing "discovery" to an independent lab for confirmation.

Oh and thanks for reminding the lurkers to keep watching for all these tactics. I've been reading the pages since I posted that and noticed nothing but those tactics being used against Galileo, and he is allowing you all to get away with it.

Which weren't accessible. Right, gotcha. ;)

And a layer of nano-thermite would barely toast a slice of bread let alone weaken steel.

Let us know when your fantasy meets up with reality, if ever.

The funny thing is no matter how many times that's pointed out... most CT's will remain totally oblivious to this...

"The CIA owns anyone of any significance in the major media." --Former CIA director William Colby

So what? Hundreds of thousands of people saw some aspect of 9/11 and read the news in the media that day and in the days afterwords. I'm one of those people. What the media reported agreed with what they saw, at least to the point that none of them have joined "eyewitness for Truth".

Millions of people have some professional expertise that shows Twoofer claims within their area of expertise to be stupid. I'm one of those people. No alleged expert will make Twoofer claims in front of people relevant expertise
who can ask relevant questions.

Then there are the estimated 70,000 people directly involved with the clean-up and the investigation. Any or all of those people would have seen some way that the public record disagreed with what they saw. They would all have to be part of the cover-up.

The scripts would have to have been handed out to all these people the night before and they all had to get their lines right. Many of these people would be asked to do something they knew was a crime without understanding why. Nobody complained.

The idea that 9/11 is an inside job is stupid beyond words.
