I think you need to put that in perspective, it was only objectionable because it was teenage lads not teenage lasses. As we know they are absolutely fine with under age of consent lasses with older men.

His "controversial" ****-stirring caught my attention mometarily, what, a year or more ago? About that time he had some of the most embarrassing "chiclet-teeth" veneers I've ever seen fitted - whoever did the work either really disliked him or just had a great sense of humour [ETA - or both, of course].

In all seriousness, cullennz, why are you trying to claim that Milo isn't alt-right? I get annoyed with all the categories these days and hate meticulously breaking people into them, but alt-right is an umbrella term (as has been pointed out). And Milo himself talks about the alt-right and their views constantly.

In New Orleans, they let literally anybody have a parade. Little mini-parades are frolicking around the French Quarter all day.

Yeah it taints the concept of pride parades and makes the gay ones worthless.

Wait a second isn't that the same logic they use in regards to gay marriage?

Let them have it, it's silly, no one cares and you don't have to go. If it let's them vent a little pressure in a non violent way all the better.
 
I believe in the fundamental right of everyone to have a parade!

I do think it's quite obvious that this particular straight pride parade is intended to troll (look at the people involved, a gay guy as the leader, trying to do it on move-in week, etc.), but I also think, that being the case, we should just not feed them.

Enjoy your parade, friends! I hope it's a nice one. (If you can get the permit, that is. How's that going, by the way?)

Yeah and it's also not a reason anyone has ever given for why straight people don't need pride parades, so you've just gotcha'd nobody.
 
Straight people don’t face social or legal oppression. We don’t need a parade to assert our legitimacy. This isn’t about expressing pride in being straight.

This about asserting the legitimacy of being anti-gay, which is what is actually becoming stigmatized in our society. This really an Anti-gay Pride Pride.
 
I'd just love to hear all the "Now Nearby!" alerts on the gay spectators' phones tuned to a gay dating app as the paraders march by.

Concur.

For similar reasons, the attempted "it's okay to be white" meme is really an attempt to say "it's okay to complain about attempts to combat racism against minorities".
