The Truth about RFK Jr

At SBM Dr. Steven Novella examined the possible link between Tylenol and autism, focusing on the Swedish study. "The data came from the Swedish national database, which is extremely useful for such research. The review includes data on 185,909 children. They found a very small increased risk of neurodevelopmental disorders with Tylenol use in pregnancy, however this link disappeared when they did a sibling control analysis...To understand this data a bit better, it is important to know that this is observational data. It is not ethical to expose subjects to a potential risk to see what happens. Therefore, we cannot randomize mothers to either take or not take Tylenol during pregnancy. We can just look at see what happens if mothers decide on their own to take it. This is an ethical way to gather data, and also allows for the collection of massive amounts of data (because you can just look at records or collect data, without having to carry out an elaborate experiment).

However, as we have pointed out here often, this also allows for the possibility of confounding factors. For example, what if mothers who have a fever for some reason are both more likely to take Tylenol and to have a child with a neurodevelopmental disorder? Researchers can try to correct for potential confounding factors."

I'm sure this will be a ◊◊◊◊ show.

RFK Jr. and the Trump administration are preparing to do exactly what many of us feared they would.Next week, they are planning to present data that have been misused or manipulated to make it *appear* that COVID19 vaccines caused the deaths of 25 children.

Vaccines are always a risk. It is possible for vaccines to harm those who receive them. But the benefits greatly outweigh the risks. That's why they are extensively tested before they go out to the public. How many children did the vaccines save? I have no doubt it was far more than the number who died. And also, I'm pretty sure that this number of 25 is nonsense.

At the Pandemic Accountability Index the author wrote, "Reading 1987's Death in Hamburg is quite the experience in 2025, even though cholera & COVID-19 couldn't be two more different diseases: one being caused by water-borne bacteria and the other an airborne SARS virus. So many of the worst mistakes of the 1892 cholera outbreak, from quack cures to undercounting deaths, were repeated almost verbatim 127 years later. It seems we've learned absolutely nothing. More revealing is how wealthy interests, over a century apart, carried undue influence over the response to both of these catastrophes, to disastrous effect."

Last April AP News reported, "[Dr. Peter] Marks agreed to give Kennedy’s associates the ability to read thousands of reports of potential vaccine-related issues sent to the government’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS. But he would not allow them to directly edit the data. “Why wouldn’t we? Because frankly we don’t trust (them),” he said, using a profanity. “They’d write over it or erase the whole database.”"

On Tuesday on the hill, Sen. Ron Johnson touted results from an unpublished study commissioned by an anti-vaccine group as showing the risk of childhood vaccines.
I asked why the study hadn't been published of Henry Ford Health, where the author who did not testify worked.
Lauren Weber on X, Sep 11, 2025
A spokesperson told me that "an initial peer review of the draft revealed immediate and significant concerns due to serious data flaws" and that the institution "was unaware this long-rejected and unvalidated draft was being talked about or had somehow been shared."
Lauren Weber on X, Sep 11, 2025
The spokesperson said the institution was not given the opportunity by Congress to weigh in or testify.
"In the end, this report was not published because it did not even come close to meeting the rigorous scientific standards we demand—not because of the results."
Lauren Weber on X, Sep 11, 2025
Here are the flaws in the study, according to Henry Ford Health

This was the same study that Sen. Ron Johnson said was " a high quality study" and organized a Senate hearing around, as he said it showed vaccinated children are more likely to have chronic conditions.

At Unbiased Science Dr. Jess Steier gave a typically clear explainer on context of VAERS within the reporting system for vaccines. "VAERS serves a critical purpose, but it can also create chaos when misunderstood or misused."

Dr. Steier went on to discuss excess mortality. "At the same June ACIP meeting, CDC staff presented data showing that at least 25 children died who had COVID-associated hospitalizations since July 2023. Of the 16 who were old enough for vaccination, none were up-to-date on vaccines according to the Washington Post...Research on excess mortality provides helpful context. A comprehensive study found statistically significant excess mortality among U.S. children ages 0-17 during the Delta wave of 2021, with 1,532 excess deaths occurring primarily in the South, where vaccine uptake was lower. The deaths were concentrated in areas with fewer public health protections and lower vaccination rates."

he wife of Florida surgeon general Dr Joseph Ladapo, a leading vaccine skeptic, believes that angels have spoken to her and that “dark forces” are targeting her family with chemtrails, and has claimed her husband won’t work with anyone she hasn’t vetted.

In published works and interviews reviewed by the Guardian, Brianna Ladapo – who edited her husband’s USA Today op-ed from March 2020 against Covid-19 shutdowns and appears alongside him at conferences – claims to have regularly received visions that come true and believes her life has been saved “multiple times” by angels.

Joseph Ladapo, a longtime vaccine skeptic who was handpicked by Florida’s governor, Ron DeSantis, has faced accusations by public health advocates of peddling “scientific nonsense”. Ladapo has defended his stances on vaccines and Covid guidance, stating in 2023 in response to allegations he falsified a Covid report: “Between my scientific experience and training, and the fact that I am only comfortable saying the truth and speaking the truth, I felt completely fine with that announcement.”

He recently ended vaccine mandates for children in Florida against preventable diseases, including measles, mumps, chickenpox, polio and hepatitis, comparing mandates to “slavery” and claimed the move would receive the blessing “of God”. Florida is the first state in the US to do so.

The Guardian made several attempts to reach Brianna Ladapo and Joseph Ladapo by email. They did not respond to multiple requests for comment. The Florida department of health and DeSantis also did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

How did the lunatics become in charge so quickly?

Ohh yeah, Hillary Clinton had the audacity to run for president, and now we have this cesspool.
And before that, a black man had the audacity to become President, and lots of the white people lost their ◊◊◊◊ over it.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is definitely coming for your vaccines, part 2: VAERS, the FDA, and ACIP (Science-Based Medicine, Sep 15, 2025)

As I have mentioned before, there's a connection between the current U.S. public-health administration and a group of Danish 'vaccine skeptics' within academia:
Moreover, RFK Jr. is clearly using his lackey Tracy Beth Høeg to find him the “evidence” that he needs to link COVID-19 vaccines to deaths. Høeg, you might recall, is a sports medicine quack who in her pre-COVID practice offered unproven stem cell therapies. Since COVID-19, she quickly aligned with the contrarian views of our current FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary, opposing nonpharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) such as “lockdowns,” business closures, school closures, and masking while also opposing vaccinating children against COVID-19. While not as antivax as RFK Jr. clearly is, she has echoed several common antivax talking points, such as “questioning” the need for certain childhood vaccines; e.g., immunizations against flu, rotavirus and varicella, for children not known to be at high-risk for severe illness.

Now that Trump has rebranded the Department of Defense as the Department of War, isn't it time to rename the NIH?

At Science-based Medicine David Gorski wrote, 'Given that anyone can report anysuspected adverse event after a vaccine, VAERS is intended to be an early warning system, a hypothesis-generating system, rather than a hypothesis testing system. Unfortunately, it is that very open nature of the system that has allowed it to be used and abused by antivaxxers to promote their false claims that vaccines cause so many adverse events and medical conditions... one thing VAERS does do well is to capture severe reactions, while it misses most mild reactions."

Apparently, the report about 25 children who allegedly died after C19 vaccination has been leaked.
Prof Jeffrey S Morris on X, Sep 15, 2025, wrote a long tweet about what he assumes is the purpose of leaking it - to a select group of people.

The host of Pandemic Accountability Index discussed Dr. Marty Makary and quoted a 2021 Tweet: "Vax deaths could approximate COVID deaths in boys 5-11 w/no comorbid…Based on the data of kids w/ NO comorbid, an estimated 0-10 kids 5-11 have ever died of COVID VS. Approx 15 would die from the vax 2nd dose (extrap from adolescents)." In previous comments I cited studies regarding children/adolescents (presumably up to age 18). I don't recall seeing statistics that covered 5-11 year old males specifically.

The host continued, " With American kids being used as lab rats in this grand experiment, Long COVID has now overtaken asthma as the leading chronic illness in children. Whoopsie." This raises a question I had not pondered before.
