The Truth about RFK Jr

You can take this off topic, but yes, I know both vaccines and viruses. The vaccine is smaller than the virus. All I stated is correct. There is nothing factually wrong. It's beyond message board level explaining to point out the vaccine nucletides (slightly modified) etc.

MedPageToday reported on the Hepatitis B vaccine: ""To be pulling back on a safe vaccine that prevents liver disease and liver cancer in children and adults just makes no sense," said Kristen Marks, MD, an infectious disease specialist at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City...In an interview with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, Kennedy had claimed knowledge of a CDC study linking the hepatitis B vaccine to autism that he said was hidden from the public. He asserted it showed a "1,135% elevated risk of autism" among vaccinated children but was "manipulated ... through five different iterations to try to bury the link." No credible evidence exists that such a study was ever conducted. MedPage Today asked HHS for a copy of it, but agency spokesperson Emily Hilliard did not address the request in her response."

As an aside, Ribonucleotide reductase may be my favorite enzyme.

At The Washington Post NIH head Jay Bhattacharya wrote, "But as a vaccine intended for broad public use, especially during a public health emergency, the platform has failed a crucial test: earning public trust. No matter how elegant the science, a platform that lacks credibility among the people it seeks to protect cannot fulfill its public health mission...Some outlets have blamed the poor coronavirus mRNA vaccine uptake on poor messaging or “anti-vax” counter-messaging. But the Biden administration made suppression of speech — and a mandate for all on the vaccine — into a priority...To do so with complete confidence about vaccine safety and efficacy requires an exact understanding of dosage, biodistribution and off-target effects. Unfortunately, we fall short on all three. We lack clarity on how much antigen each mRNA molecule produces, where in the body the mRNA product winds up, how long it stays in the body, and whether unintended proteins are created."
Dr. Bhattacharya cited an estimate of 2.5 million lives saved by the vaccines.
So Bhattacharya blames Biden for the effects of his and his bosses anti-vaxx and anti-lockdown posturings. In the end, have they no sense of shame?

PS and he's still pushing anti-vaxx tropes, despite knowing how destructive they are.

That is brilliant: The mRNA vaccine "has failed a crucial test: earning public trust," says the guy who has been busy destroying public trust in the mRNA vaccine - and is still doing so!
To say nothing about Bhattacharya being one of the authors of The Great Barrington Declaration, the pre-vaccination herd-immunity-by-infection manifesto paid for by the libertarian 'think tank' American Institute for Economic Research.
Our resident Covid minimizers must be so proud!
Paid for and written by AIER. There were no scientists involved in putting together the barrington declaration, just a bunch of PR shills.

An immunogen in the vaccine is indeed smaller than the whole virus, which means that "all the same parts are" definitely not "in the vaccine and virus."

No, all you stated is not correct. It is also factually incorrect that "If there is harm, it is in both." If a virus does no harm, there is no point in making a vaccine against it. The vaccine is supposed to (and almost always does) protect you from the harm done by the virus.
It is possible that you know what you are talking about, as you claim, but what you are actually saying is factually incorrect.
Have you considered that you may mean something other than what you actually write?

The irony is that Bhattacharya, at one point, was one of minimizers who exaggerated the efficacy of the C19 vaccines. The logic is that minimizers (on this forum, too!) wanted people to think that the pandemic was over. In the Great Barrington Declaration, they wrote that the virus did no real harm and gave people immunity, so there was no reason to wait for the vaccines. After the arrival of the vaccines, they declared that the vaccines had ended the pandemic.
In Denmark, the message post-vax in the winter of 2021-22 was:
Vaccineret + smittet = superimmunitet (vaccinated + infected = super immunity)
At no other point of the pandemic, so far, did as many people die as in the winter of 2021-22 - in spite of the vaccines!

Throughout the pandemic, the intention of minimizer propaganda has been to make people stop caring about their own health, the health of their loved ones and everybody else because it's bad for business (as usual) and freedumb. Infection's good, protection's bad. In Sweden, state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell claimed that face masks were dangerous, and nowadays the people who claimed that the vaccines put an end to the pandemic claim that the vaccines are dangerous.

"Mandatory school closings, forced isolation of teens and college students, and required injections of healthy children with experimental drugs attempting to shield adults will be a permanent black mark on America."
Science & accountability (The New Criterion, July 2, 2025)

Jonathan Howard and the other guys at Science-Based Medicine are doing an amazing job of pointing out what the minimizers have been saying throughout the pandemic, from the early beginnings when it was always supposed to be over next month.

No one looks for lockdowns more than @ScottAtlas_IT. They were the highlight of his career, and he’s sad 99% of people have moved on. This is painful, like watching an old athlete struggle, years past their prime, just trying to recapture glory days.

When Bhattacharya is "pushing anti-vaxx tropes," remember that he was one of the people who claimed that the vaccines had ended the pandemic. Nowadays, vaccines are a reminder that it's still there, and he doesn't want people to know that, so now vaccines are dangerous - like face masks, restrictions and lockdowns.
And don't mention unobtrusive measures like ventilation and air purification! They are too expensive for anybody other than Davos participants and their kids. Our resident minimizers told us so!

‘Distracting the public’: group of health professionals call for RFK Jr to be removed (TheGuardian, Aug 13, 2025)
A grassroots organization of health professionals has released a report outlining major health challenges in the US and calling for the removal of Robert F Kennedy Jr from the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The report from Defend Public Health, a new organization of about 3,000 health professionals and allies, is an attempt to get ahead of misinformation and lack of information from health officials.
In an effort to keep making progress in public health, Defend Public Health’s report was slated to coincide with that of the anticipated second US report to “make America healthy again” (Maha). The first Maha report was released in May, and a second report was expected this week – but amid turmoil at the health agencies, it has reportedly been delayed for several weeks.

RFK Jr Says The UNTHINKABLE After CDC Shooting Revelations Prove Devastating Truth (The Damage Report on YouTube, Aug 15, 2025 - 4 min.)
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. gives an outrageous response to fuel conspiracy fires after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gets targeted in a devastating shooting by gunman, who police and family members state was motivated by vaccine misinformation, that fatally shot a police officer.
1:08--> [RFK Jr.] is not going to allow yet another act of terror perpetuated by an antivaxer, and there have been many, to derail the antivax course that he's on.
He said, "We don't know enough about what the motive was of this individual, but people can ask questions without being penalized."
Oh, well, isn't that merciful of of him? So, maybe the staff of the CDC that were nearly murdered by an antivaxer, they'll they'll be able to ask questions without being fired after they were almost killed. That's very nice. Okay.
Um, by the way, uh, the guy's own father said that it's linked to it, that he became, uh, depressed and suicidal and blamed it on the CO9 vaccine. Everybody involved in this except RFK Jr. are willing to acknowledge that.

At Inside Medicine Dr. Jeremy Faust discussed the effects on morale that shooting and its response have had, and he also treated the mRNA wind down. In part he wrote, " Instead, in an unusually poorly reasoned Washington Post opinion, Bhattacharya argued that mRNA vaccines should not be studied because there is not sufficient public trust in them. This is intellectually destitute. Science is not subject to popular opinion, but to data...A recent study by one of his buddies [John Ioannidis] suggests that “only” 2.5 million lives, rather than 14 million that some other models suggest. Even if the lower number were closer to the truth, it would remain an astounding contribution."

NBCNews reported, "In the weeks and months before the Aug. 8 shooting at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters in Atlanta, posts tying Covid vaccines to mental illness accrued millions of views online."

Secretary Kennedy is reviving a dormant task force on childhood vaccines, to be chaired by Dr. Bhattacharya, head of NIH. NBCNews reported, "“At least once a week, he [Kennedy] comes up with a new zinger seeking to discredit vaccines, and it’s very dangerous,” said Dr. Peter Hotez, a co-director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Center for Vaccine Development."

Here's a depressing article on why we shouldn't count RFK Jr out for the presidency:

RFK Jr.'s road trips to red states draw robust crowds. He already polls better than many of his prospective Republican rivals, especially among the youth vote. While Vice President JD Vance leads most polls by a wide margin, RFK ranked fourth after Marco Rubio and Ron DeSantis in a June Emerson College poll. But in the spring 2025 Yale Youth Poll — which surveys both young American voters and the general population — Kennedy trailed only Vance among Republican voters. He also had the highest net favorability ratings after Vance among voters aged 18-29 and the general population.
They point out his weaknesses--never been elected to anything, facing a strong field, previously a Democrat--and note that the same applied to Donald Trump when he came down the escalator.

Unlike Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the current head of the Department of Health and Human Services, The Simpsons’ boisterous, goateed Dr. Nick Riviera is a real doctor—he graduated from the vaunted Hollywood Upstairs Medical College. (Apparently, Dr. Nick spent most of his time in med school writing fake prescriptions.) Aside from the minor difference in credentials, the two have much in common: a taste for drugs and quack medical theories and a general suspicion, to put it mildly, of the establishment. Especially the medical establishment.

Take the quiz. I got 12/13.

RFK Jr had to help Dr Oz up the slope of a 10-foot boulder (at a park where climbing more than 10 feet is forbidden).
:lolsign:

Moments later, Mehmet turns to the camera and says, “Big news! You walk 15 minutes a day, you save the country $100 billion in health expenses.”
Every two days, I save the country more than DOGE has.

(According to Dr Oz.)
In a typical week, I jog for 100 minutes. I am also likely to hike somewhere between 2 to 6 hours, with 500 to 4000 feet of climb. But I'm on Medicare, not Medicaid. I don't know how that adds up. It might mean I save the country more than $700 billion a week.

Just when I think I can't be more in disbelief. I mean - he REALLY said that!!!

The CDC shooting was public health’s Jan. 6 - in RFK Jr.’s America, it will never be safe to practice public health or medicine (StatNews, Aug 15, 2025)
A week ago, on Aug. 8, a gunman attacked the CDC headquarters in Atlanta, firing nearly 500 rounds, breaking about 150 windows, and killing a police officer.
The shooter had reportedly become fixated on his belief that the Covid-19 vaccine had made him and others sick, and wanted to make “the public aware of his discontent,” according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Were it not for the blast-reinforced glass, campus security, and a considerable amount of luck, Aug. 8 would almost certainly have been the deadliest attack against health workers in world history.
