But again, you've done very little except discuss cosmology throughout this thread. You can't throw out descriptions of the Big Bang and cosmic dust and all this kind of stuff and then claim that it's not your field and you're only mentioning it in passing. The way that it works around here is that you make the claim, you ensure that there is a factual base, you defend your position without reference to a holy book that you know is a holy book because it tells you that it is a holy book, and, most importantly, you understand and respond to specific points made by other posters.

The universe (or at least this phase of it) began 14 billion years ago. It will continue to exist for trillions of years.

The earth was formed about 4 billion years ago and will continue to exist for 5 to 7 billion years more, though it will only be able to support life for about another billion.

Light years are irrelevant to such facts.

Hi dear friend. Yes, ants can not speak human language. Except for the vocal cords you mentioned, even the sound frequency of their voice can be heard by humans. Because their sound is extremely low. And it is beyond the range of human voice (the range of human voice for speech is 2000 to 4000 Hz and the sound of an ant is above 8000 Hz) does not mean that the verse spoke in human language. I am pretty sure ants do not have vocal chords. They communicate with one another by chemical scent. But in the Quran an ant speaks a sentence and King Solomon hears it and smiles.
You are telling us King Solomon could understand the ant by a miracle.

This shows you will believe just about anything the Quran says.

As for Moses, I doubt very much he ever existed, and if he did he never freed the slaves from Egypt and parted the red sea. For one thing the evidence is that the pyramids were built by Egyptian farmers between seasons. Not by slaves. There is no reference to these biblical events in any Egyptian writings.

There is no evidence whatsoever for the presence of Moses or the Hebrews in Egypt.
Ramses II died of old age, and was buried in the Valley of the Kings.
Please provide evidence for the destruction of the Egyptian army in the Red Sea, given that the Egyptians themselves did not make any mention of this at all in their histories, and none of the surrounding peoples- who would have taken advantage of Egypt's sudden vulnerability- seemed to have noticed it either.
The entire story of the Exodus is simply made up. If you disagree, do please show your evidence. The Quran does not count, by the way: repetitions of previous myths do not become true merely by repetition.

My request was that you present your proof. Your response is to repeat your claim that you have proof but you do not show it, inviting me instead to go read a book. You also make it pretty clear that you have an unusual view of what "proof" means and that we should not expect facts and logic to have much involvement.

In that case, even if you do present your "proof" it is very unlikely that anyone here will find it persuasive.

Well, we're now 14 pages in and there is no sign of any "proof" of anything, loads of misunderstanding of some well-established scientific terminology and units, loads of appeals to authority and even more retro-fitting, but that is about it.

And I can't even make daft requests to have Aphrodite's Child on the sound track - well, I could, but that would be really daft, mebbe some Nusrat or would Sufi-ism be out of order?
